Editorial review from Citysearch 10/11/2012

Excellent outcome from discectomy of L4-L5 disc. Absolutely terrible customer service. People that answer the phone will always send you to a ""press 1 for.."" sort of robotic system. When you come to the end of your three minutes... expect that nobody will call you back within the next couple of days. I had my 6 week post op appointment well over a week ago, still waiting to find out if I have weight limits.. etc. Until they fix their system.. don't go there. more

My back problem experience 8/23/2012

I was referred to the institute by my doctor and didnt know these folks from Adam. Mark stock was who I was referred to and found him to be very knowledgeable about back problems. After a try with a spinal injection that didn't work, we immediately scheduled surgery with Dr. Daniel Hanson.\r Dr. Hanson performed a discectomy and the pain relief from that condition was gone immediately. My recovery has been slow and a bit painful but they are excellent in providing the much needed medication to get you through this recuperation with very little hassle. I couldn't be more pleased with the professional care that I am receiving from these folks. They really understand what I'm going through and are committed to my recovery. My son has since went through ear surgery at the U of M and the story is nothing as I have described. Thank you Mark and Dr. )Hanson for your excellence. I already have and will continue to recommend you to others that suffer. God Bless You all.\r more

Best Service Ever! 10/12/2010

Having several injections in different states and facilities, I was pleasantly pleased as to how easy it went at the Stillwater Midwest Spine Institute. I felt pampered and taken care of, with all my questions answered and even those I thought I wouldn't ask because they were 'dumb'. Thanks for the great service. more

LAST STOP 12/16/2009

Both Dr. Sinicropi and Dr. Saeger have been wonderful. I previously took my son to the University of MN and Twin City Spine, and to a neurosurgion with no successful care or treatment of relentless and chronic spine pain post head-on MVA by a drunk in 2005. I spent two years daily watching my son try and end his llife and listen to him tell me the ways he could think of to end his life. I dished out medications daily and trips to ER regularly for shots for severe episodes. Since treating with Dr. Sinicropi and Dr. Saeger, I no longer give out pain meds, just usual daily meds, and I no longer try fighting with a 200 pound 30 year old trying to take an overdose of medications for pain relief. This is my last stop. I will not be getting second opinions anywhere. It took me from 2005 to find doctors who actually treated ""the pain"" which is saving the nerves that make his arms and legs and head function. My son has undergone neck surgery and injections in his neck and low back and will be undergoing low back surgery in the future. I find Dr. Sinicropi and Dr. Saeger's guidance to be accurate and their skills to be impeccable. I now have some time for myself and my son is able to work short hours. If I had initially sought care and treatment at Midwest Spine Institute for my son I may have saved my professional job. As it was, I retired young with very low income and loss of lifetime health benefits. Choosing to treat with Midwest Spine is an excellent choice.\r Julie Hartzell, mother and guardian of an adult child who sustained traumatic spine and traumatic brain injuries in 2005. Pros: EXCELLENT DIAGNOSTIC AND PAIN RELIEF PROCEDURES Cons: Distance. I travel from Wisconsin to Midwest Spine Institut more

Dr Saeger 7/2/2009

I have seen Dr. Saeger more than once in the last 5 years of my illness. Some of his treatments helped and some didn't. Imagine what a hard job it is to work with peoples nerves and spines! I believe the doctors there do the best that they can for their patients, and Dr. Saeger has been nothing but polite and infomative to me as to what to expect before and after treatments. Over all the staff at midwest are caring and helping people. Pros: Great Doctor more

great treatment 6/5/2009

This is written in defense of the Spine Institute. Contrary to horse34, both my husband and I were very impressed with Dr. Saeger and his staff. I had complete elimination of my pain after 2 days, my husband yet to be determined. We found the staff all to be very accomodating beginning with the receptionist until we left. I will definitely go back there should the pain recur ! Pros: caring, courteous staff Cons: cool room (needed to be though) more

Bad service 3/26/2009

I had a second spine injection for my back and the doctor Struck a nerve and that caused the muscles in my left leg to bunch up like a charlie-horse but way worse than that. I was crying really hard and Dr. Louis Saeger still finished the injection like he didn't care at all! When I got up from the table, I asked for a prescription pain reliever, which I got later. Then I asked one of the techs to get my mother who was in the waiting room. She came immediately, and when Dr Saeger came in, she asked him when the pain in my leg would go away? He then said,""I don't know, but I have a crystal ball over there and we'll see what it says."" Then my Mother proceeded to tell her how rude Dr Saeger was to us, and she defended him and said that he's a good doctor and a good man. She did not like us staying past our welcome! Very rude service, and I will never go back to see anyone for injections at Midwest Spine Institute. I have never been treated so bad in all my life!\r Pam Johnson Pros: Nice nurse Cons: Mean and rude Doctor more
