I asked for a refund after 2 nights because they billed me for two weeks in advance. Refunded my money. Billed me $119.23 after I left w/o my consent. The room was dirty from the carpets to the bedding. The blanket had large cigarette burns on it, carpet was filthy, big puddle on the bathroom floor. Cigarette burn on the sink and bathtub. The room looked depreciated by 30 years from the websites advertised photos. The room was offered for $39.95 a night but because I was staying 5 weeks, I was offered $35 a night. The clerk charged me 2 weeks in advance. I was very sick the first night so I did not leave my room at all. The 2nd day I had a meeting. I went for the continental breakfast, I was disappointed because there was no fruit or hard boiled eggs. Everything was packaged bakery goods. Asked for a cab. Clerk called one, While I waited I checked out the ""fitness center"" to find they only had 2 machines and neither of them were a treadmill. The cab arrives but it is not a cab. It is a friend of the clerk in his personal vehicle. I refuse to get in an unmarked ""cab"" the clerk was upset with me and acted like I was absurd for refusing the cab service, he called another one and said I can not promise he will show up with a sign or a meter. Well, he showed up with a sign on the door but still no meter. I could not wait any longer as I was already late. while waiting for the cab I asked for a refund for the 2 weeks, I was checking out the next day. I was refunded the full amount and received a receipt showing the credit. After I left, the clerk charged my card for $119.23 - I was not informed of this, I was never showed a receipt nor did I ever sign or authorize this charge. I have reported fraudulent activity with my bank and they are now running an investigation that can take up to 90 days. My last night, I arrived late to my room, exhausted, packed to check out first thing in the morning. I did not sleep well because I was woken up hourly from bugs crawling on me. Unfortunately, I read reviews after my stay and have found that I am not the first person to file a complaint with BBB, this hotel has also used customer's atm/debit/credit cards after they have departed the hotel.
