Worst

The food is pretty good, but they charge to much. But the 3 times I was their the service has horrible, the place was freezing inside and their is NO place to park. Pros: OK ...

Awesome servers!! 11/22/2010

I love going to Mickey Finns, the servers are so sweet and fast, our waitress was really fast and helpful. We ordered our drinks and she had them at the table in ten seconds! We go almost every Tues for kids night. They eat for free and have a magician or balloon man. Just wanted to share our positive experiences as every time we go we have a really good time. the service is wonderful, always a smile on their faces, which in turn makes us leave with a smile on ours as well....thank you Mickey Finns girls!!! more

Family Friendly 10/6/2008

I must say that I was surprised at the harsh comments I read about the place. I frequent this brew pub and always recieve great service. Sure there are times when it's busy but the servers are always friendly and do their very best to make sure we always have a good experience. We have kids and I always love the attention they get here. I can tell some are moms themselves, especially when they offer to start my kids meals first or get them crackers if they are fussy. Attention to details like that are what make me keep coming back!!! Thanks Mickey Finn's Crew! You Rock! Pros: good with family groups Cons: can get busy, but thats good in this economy more

Great Local Brew Pub, family friendly 7/9/2008

Mickey Finns, is a great local pub for the Woodstock area, in which you can bring your family. I've had nothing but great experiences anytime I've eaten there. I'm a little confused with ADB503's experience. Anyone who has ever been there for trivia night knows how busy it is and that most patrons are going to sit there for 2 -3 hours. Ive never worked in the food service industry, but I'd like to think i have a little thing called common sense. Im sorry ADB503, its really to bad, but they don't have classes in which you can learn this little quality that is nice have while you muddle your way through life. I've been served by virtually every server there and granted they too...unlike ADB503 are imperfect. But despite their imperfection, they have always greeted me with a smile, and if they are busy, they usually say in passing, I'll be right with you. I understand that being a food server isn't easy. Maybe ADB503 should get a summer job and try it, not only will you have a little cash to buy your boyfriend his long deserved ear plugs, but you may also learn another nice little quality called compassion. Next time you are served an extra beer, PLEASE turn to your left or right, im sure there is someone there who would be more then willing to take it off of your hands, that is unless your boyfriends hasn't sucked it down to survive the drive home. To sum it up, Mickey Finns is a great fun place, Christine and the other servers are among the best i've run into. Most patrons there are great to start a great conversation with, very easy going and intelligent. And I hear there is going to be one extra table open this Thursday, so please come down and we'll laugh, have great time, tip 20% and be happy we are NOT go home to our pathetic boring lives. more

abd503 is a RUDE RUDE CUSTOMER! 7/9/2008

I was at Mickey finns For Thursday Trivia night and had the BEST SERVICE EVER. My server was Christine and she was so polite and helpful in every way. She is COSTUMER SERVICE. I am very surprised at adb503's review. Seems to me she was already looking for a problem. If you already DON't Like the place then why go. She even said it (""I decided not to complain because I've been told by others the management doesn't care and was very unsympathetic to other patron complaints"") Sounds to me your boyfriend most likely is annoyed by you as much as I am. I would say you were rude to the waitress. Leave a TIP LOSER AND GET OVER IT! Next time stay at home and stop complaining about other people!!!! Pros: CLEAN and great service Cons: CUSTOMERS LIKE adb503! more

Horrible Experience Compelled me to create a citysearch acct. Why, Christine, Why? 5/31/2008

To Sum It Up:\r -Server never smiled, in fact, she rolled her eyes upon each order of a non-alcoholic beverage (2 of us 4)\r -When things were brought to the table, we said ""thanks"" she never ceased frowning and turned away.\r -Their trivia is fun on Thursday nights, and we know it's busy, but when one of the beer drinkers says ""Yes, please"" to another, and the other says ""No, thanks, not right now"" it's not proper to just give us both another pint each. This happened twice, once to each of us.\r \r -By far the hugest faux pas (actually just straight up rude, not to mention illegal) was when she brought the bill to the table, explaining why she tacked on an 18% gratuity, saying ""a lot of people (playing trivia) sit here all night and then short me on a tip. I'm a single mom. You're welcome to tip more than that.""\r \r That was just rude, rude, rude. We all ordered food and drinks. My boyfriend and I were drinking beers all night (half we specifically requested not to be brought to the table). So, no, we were not just sitting there all night taking up space. I decided not to complain because I've been told by others the management doesn't care and was very unsympathetic to other patron complaints. Besides, anyone who lets Christine work there apparently likes the idea of customer disservice. Pros: Lots of beer selection, nice trivia host (Mr. Bill) Cons: Absolutely horrible server- in every way; pretty crappy food and prices. more

yucko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1/12/2008

YUCKY FOOD, OVER PRICED AND GROSS!!!!! We went there to see a dear friend of mine who works there. Needless to say , the service was great but the food was horrible, according to all 4 of us in my family. I used to go yhere and swear by Sasha's veggie sandwich , was the best in town, served on Grand Central Como bread. Now it is served on generic sourdough, and nothing like it used to be. Everything out of the deep fryer tasted like the grease was either super old, or broken-------------YUCK>.......... The HAPPY HOUR MENU IS A JOKE, $3.95 FOR TATER TOTS< WHAT A BARGAIN. they are $4.25 on the regular menu. The place is cold, dirty, the bathrooms are disgusting, and super over priced. We won't be back............... Pros: good service Cons: spendy, gross food, cold, rip off more

Highly Recommended! 3/27/2007

My friends and I love coming here to just hang out and enjoy the entertainments they have. Especially Thursday nights for Mr. Bill's Trivia! They have a ton of beer on tap and the service is great. They also have great food. I in particular like their sandwiches and desserts! The best thing about this restaurant is that it isn't too smokey like other pubs. Keep up the good work! Pros: Great food, lots of parking, great service, friendly people, big screen TV's more

improved service! 2/14/2007

After not coming into this establishment for a few year(due to poor service and bad food) I was so surprised! The staff is now friendly and the food is good again. When I mentioned to the server that I had not been in for a while she seemed genuinely concerned about why. I explained and she actually thanked me for giving it one more chance! I understand a new owner took over about a year or so ago and apparently it's working. I really liked the fact that I felt welcomed. I will definetly be going back. Best Improvement Award!!!! Pros: Friendly service Cons: It is only a brew pub so don't expect fancy more

a great place for fun and great beer selection 12/21/2006

Food is delicious and the servers are hot. Please remember where you are at when you enter the brew pub. Sorry, but exceptionally wonderful service is NOT expected, as this is not a five-star restaurant nor anything even close. As with any other restaurant that instructs you to ""seat yourself"" it cannot be expected that service will come immediately. Service is friendly as always nonetheless and comes as soon as possible. Parking can always be found around the restaurant, either in the parking lot or any of two adjacent streets where there is always an abundance of street parking. Also, if you are not willing to pay seven dollars for a hamburger, plus a tip, there is an Arby's down the street that is rarely busy. MF's always has 20+ beers on tap and a different activity every night of the week, making it a fun place to go to. Pros: relaxed, neighborhood bar Cons: cold, noisy more

Unprofessional Service - Appalling! 12/5/2005

My husband went to this tavern to watch a football game on Sunday. The service on hand mistook him for another individual and publicly admonished him for his lousy tipping, throwing change, insults and curse words his way. This verbal attack was unprovoked and inexcusable. The new ownership is still ""investigating"" my husband's outrageous experience and seemed reluctant to take any action at all. This incident should be plenty to dissuade anyone from patronizing this establishment. No human being deserves to be degraded in such a disgusting way! Shame on the service. If I behaved this way at my job, I'd be fired without a thought! more

Used to be great! 11/2/2005

I have been in the Woodstock Neighborhood for some time now and have frequented MF over the years many times. I must say i didn't pay much attention to the ownership of this once great pub, but i regretfully do now!!! I had been noticing a departure of great servers and inquired as to why. The server was reluctant and unable to discuss things. As she should have. But it doesn't take a detective to figure out that the current aren't happy working there anymore. It used to be a family atmosphere. The works, the local community, the kids night, the trivia night, etc...just arent the same anymore. New Owners ....whoever you are...and i will find out! SHAME ON YOU! If it ain't broke , don't fix it! I patronized MF at least once or twice a week. No more...and that is an absolute shame! Pros: Staff- for now, Food , Atmosphere Cons: Owners, unhappy staff more

I love this place 9/17/2004

I just wanted to say that this is one of my favorite places in Portland. It is comfortable and not pretentious. The service is one million times better now that the Sunnyside crew works there. The food is always good and has nice presentation ( a little bit spendy, though) and the drinks are fantastic. There is even a bartender, she is quite attractive too, who will make up a drink for you on the spot. She Rocks! If you are in Portland, check out the Finn. There is something for everyone! Pros: good food, good service, not pretentious more

Food can't make up for the rest 6/8/2004
