They don't listen or care! 2/23/2012

The guy acted like he was listening when I told him I wanted my dog to get a puppy cut but to keep the hair around his head long. I even pointed to photos on the walls. My husband picked up, but I wish I had! My dog's head was completely shaved! EXACTLY WHAT I DIDN'T WANT!! I would've refused to pay! I now have read that others experienced the same thing. Instructions completely ignored as to how you want your pet to look, not what they're willing to quickly rush through. They shave, not groom. And it was uneven shaving at that! UGH! NEVER GOING BACK!! more

eh.. i could find better 8/10/2010

Merri s isn't exactly the place for me and my high maintanence cocked. For one reason they tend to over book them selves we're they practicly need a traffic light at the door. Their set up is just to crowded. Second, I left detail instruction on what kind of cut i wanted on my high maintenance pooch but he apparently had somewhere/somthing better to do that he kept cutting me off & didn't bother writin it down. When i picked her up she had track lines on her hair and no blending in between her short hair and her long. BOTTOM LINE MERRI S COULD USE SOME PROFFESSIONALISM. I think im going to open my own grooming shop to show these sloppy groomers because this is the 3rd sloppy groomed i've incountered. more

The Best Groomers within 47 miles.... 11/4/2009

My 2 Maltese's have experienced as many as 12 groomers thru-out the Valley and Ventura County.Our search ended with Merri's!!! For years, Merri's Groomers are by far excellent with keeping my 2 dogs happy and healthy whether their hair is kept long or in a puppy cut. We have never had any bugs or diseases or issues with billing, pick-up and delivery! I recommend this groomer for anyone who is very particular. Sincerely, Christine Kemp-Palaigos more

Love Merri! 9/29/2009

I have a Shih-tzu that I take to merri on a monthly basis. I am very picky about how her face is cut. She needs it cut close around the eyes, due to some eye issues. Merri always does a great job. Always says yes when I call last minute. more

Bad hair cut 12/2/2008

Bad: I went to this salon because it can highly recommended. I specifically went over how I would like my dog's hair cut; 1/2 inch off, puppy cut, not to look like a poodle even though she is part poodle.. Improvements: When I arrived they had done exactly what I told them not to do and that was cut off all her hair. The really annoying part is that they did not give her any water.. more

Merri's cleans your dog so well and the people who work there are extremely friendly! Whenever I take my dog to Merri's he smells great,his clean,and the bandanas are the best! They always know what there doing! There very professional! They also give your dog a treat while his there every time! THIS IS THE BEST GROOMING PLACE FOR DOGS!!!!! more

Happy, Happy Dogs!!! 10/27/2007

Merri does a terrific job with our two dogs, one of which is a 100 pound Bernese Mountain dog. Merri has been very easy to work with, particularly with our last minute grooming requests, and her prices are very reasonable. Our dogs come back home looking like they just won first place at Westminster! Merri takes excellent care of our dogs and, as other reviewers have noted, she pays a lot of attention to their health. She was recommended to us by our vet and we couldn't be any happier with her services. Big thank you's from Tess and Zach in Woodland Hills!! more

Very special care 6/14/2007

We have been taking our 140 pound dog, Buddy, to Merri for the last two years. It is not easy to find a groomer who is comfortable handling a dog that size. The grooming is great, but, beyond that, Merri always looks out for any health issues and on more than one occasion has alerted us to a problem which required attention. In one instance she noticed a tumor hidden by his fur which turned out to require immediate surgery, without which Buddy would certainly have died. Big thanks from Glen and Lisa. more

Merri's Grooming is the best groomer in town. Our dog, GODFATHER, loves them. They are so friendly, accomodating, and professional. They really get to know your pet and really provide personal service. I can't say enough nice things about Merri's Grooming. more

Collie Coats ! 8/25/2005

There isn't much more fur than you can find on a dog than a rough coat collie. My girls are both collies and I wouldn't take them anywhere else than Merri's. She has groomed my dogs since I moved to California a few years back and they do an excellent job! I trust the staff completely and I know that I can leave my collies at their 'spa' and I will pick up two very happy and relaxed collies later in the day. Thanks Merri for all you do! Nice Clean Dog 8/14/2005

I have a lab and I brought it in a couple of years ago, and I remember doing a terrific job. They extensively clean the animal, even the crevices, and make sure that the dog is smelly fine. one thing I do kinda find fault is the fact, that grooming services can be very expenive, merri's being no acception. however, the end result makes it worth it and my lab likes it. more

Everyone loves a clean puppy! 7/27/2005

I've only been there twice but there isn't anything I like more than seeing my puppy clean with a bow and matching bandanna. Merri is great and very affordable! She also opens at 7:30 A.M. which can make it easy to drop off fito before work. Some places require reservations a week in advance but Merri is very happy to accommodate all sized pooches. She is also very knowledgeable and has some great advice about keep a clean healthy pet so give her a ring! more
