Some quick comments\r
1) This is listed twice on Urbanspoon, hopefully they would consolidate.\r
2) There are a lot of negative reviews (under both listings) having to do with price and service. I was only here for lunch, found the waitstaff good, but the kitchen is a little slow. we were told when we order that the chicken tacos would take 30 min. I cannot understand this, does chicken take less time to cook than pork? Not that I am aware of.\r
3) Price - this is really a Tapas place. I dont speak Spanish, but I think tapas translates into something like "small plates, big prices". Its food meant for sharing, without a big (or any) distinction between apps, sides or main courses.\r
The food itself is one of these modern sort of twists on traditional mexican/latin food. These places seem to be sprouting up everywhere. There is a great place called Brasitas closer to home for me. Honestly, when I am in S. Florida I sort of like to go more authentic, down and dirty food. I can see where someone might find this a little too fru-fru.\r
But... Hey, I really liked what was on my plate. Nicely seasoned, flavorful, attractively presented tacos. Served open face, three to an order. Loved the scallop taco. Unusual, but a real winner. Mahi Mahi was great as well. \r
Lots of things to try, different variations on guac, tacos, etc. Loved the fried plantains (granted the degree of difficulty on fried plantain is pretty low). \r
Its not Tex Mex, but I would imagine great for a group to go out, sit outside and share some good food.
