Worth the high prices! 6/11/2011

The Melting Pot is a great restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. The atmosphere is romantic and classic. For a great meal for two - first a cheese fondue with breads for dipping, then a plate of raw meat and seafood with a garlic-y fondue, then chocolate fondue with fruit for dessert. It can get very pricey, but it's worth it. The perfect place for a date. more

Rude. 1/6/2011

A coworker and myself decided to try The Melting Pot since I've heard so many good things about the restaurant. Well we arrived around 4-430 expecting there to be no wait since there was plenty of parking. Well since we didnt have a reservation (which it says on the website it is not necessary!) they told us it would be over an hour wait. Well you could understand if it was busy...it wasn't. There were more than enough empty tables. I did not get to try out the wonderful experience people rave about and I will never go back to try again. more

Who doesn't love fondue?! 5/4/2010

The Melting Pot exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go back! I love fondue, but I wasn't entirely certain that I wanted to try the Melting Pot at first. It took me a few years after it came to the Boston area for me to check it out. I heard rumors that it was a bit expensive and crowded, so I wasn't exactly jumping at any opportunities...however, when my friends suggested it *and* it seemed like a central location for us to meet, I went along with it. I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious and we had a great time. We actually decided to go with two courses only, the cheese course and the chocolate course. I *highly* recommend this idea, as we were stuuuuffffed even with only these two courses. I can't imagine having any more. The cheese came with bread and veggies and the server mixed the fresh cheese in the pot on the hot table top. The chocolate was delicious as well - a little hard to decide what to pick, but I don't think you can go wrong. Overall, I really give this restaurant 5 stars and I'd love to go back soon. Pros: Delicious Cons: A bit pricey more

Fun for groups and dates 4/2/2010

I happen to love the Melting Pot and have been here a few times. This is a great spot for groups to enjoy because of the nature of fondue. It's perfect for sharing! Pros: dipping food in cheese and chocolate Cons: a little pricey, can be hard to get reservations more

not all chains are "chain restaurants" 3/3/2010

This place has been considered expensive for a long time but they are now offering a ladies night that is a great deal. Its fun to go here with a few people and get a couple pots so you have plenty of conversation and they always give you more than enough food. The meat is super fresh too. beware: the chocolate fondu WILL kill ya. After the dinner and that dessert I had to go outside for fresh air- no lie! Pros: fondu!( so hard to find) clean, fresh Cons: can be expensive more

The Melting Pot Restaurant is Fantastic 1/8/2010

Friends, Fun, Fondue, Fantastic! The Fabulous 4 at The Melting Pot Bedford. I am always looking online to find out when the next Monday Night Girl?s Night will be! I am a regular with my friends. The last Girls night we attended we each got a free OPI Nail polish for ordering a drink made with Chambord. How fun!! Anna William handbags were displayed with so many unique styles and fabrics, I didn?t know where to begin!! I decided to purchase a gift for a friend's upcoming birthday and I was delighted to find out that a 30% discount was offered for all diners that evening. I'm thinking that next time, I may even design my own. There was also beautiful jewelry by La Di Da  (I think that was the name). I also met with the psychic and got some insight into my future before moving on to my fabulous fondue meal. We had the cheese fondue, then onto a yummy array of meats and vegetables for our main course  (one friend wasn't so hungry and chose the salad option). Last but NE more

GREAT NIGHT 5/14/2009

My friend and I went to The MeltingPot the other night. I had heard good things about it, then heard an ad for it on Matty in The Morning during my commute to work. I felt that it was a sign to make a reservation and couldn't stop thinking about fondue all day!! We arrived early, and sat at a high top table in the bar area. Very hip. I spotted a drink called the Strawberry Basil Lemonade- I was intrigued and ordered it. My friend had some type of margarita made with blackberries- both drinks were fabulous. We were seated soon after sipping our drinks. We walked through a maze of cozy booths, I was shocked at how big this place really was!! It looked empty from the waiting area, but I think almost every table was filled in the back. We had a nice spot to camp out for the next couple of hours. We had already decided that we would splurge and order The Big Night Out, and I'm so glad we did! We were brought our cheese selection (a delicious mixture of several cheeses with garlic and basil I think). Wow! Our waitress came back to check in (she was awesome) and we ordered our next item which was a salad. Even the salad was a mixture of flavors I wouldn't think to put together. Onto the main course!! She brought out shrimp, lobster, filet, chicken, veggies- I was so glad I didn't eat all day knowing I was coming here. All of this food- yummy!! We had selected some type of Caribbean cooking sauce which was awesome. I just kept patting myself on the back for making the call to finally come here- I don't know why or how I waited so long to try this place out. Of course chocolate was our finale!! What a great way to end a meal. Fruit and cakes dipped in chocolate, who invented this? Fantastic. If I didn't think anyone would see me I would have licked the plate clean- I didn't but I could of!! I can't wait to go back again, whose coming?!?!? Pros: Food, Drinks, Experience Cons: Finishing :( more

Disappointing 12/24/2008

In the words of the manager, "This restaurant isn't for everyone". If it wasn't for bad service, this restaurant wouldn't have service at all. Just ask for a napkin or a glass of water and you can be sure to get a dirty look. You need a PhD to understand the rules of this restaurant. BYOP. Bring your own plate or be prepared to pay 10 dollars to share. This is not a restaurant for you if you get squeamish about raw meat. Better service at McDonalds. I read other reviews saying there were issues with service and didn't necessarily believe them, but now I do. more

Eat and drink away your work and man troubles! 11/22/2008

My friends and I were having a bad week at work so we decided to treat ourselves to a fun dinner. What is more fun than fondue and martini?s? TMP offers both of course. I had my usual Appletini, but some of the other girls decided to try some of the other ones on their cocktail list. They all tasted really good especially the Ying Yang, sort of like a milk shake, yummmm! We had a great time and it really took our minds off of work and all the other stuff we are putting up with right now. Hopefully, next time we go it will be for a better reason and the food and drinks will be even more fun! more
