I don't care much for this place. My friends like it a lot though, I don't know why. The food is bleh, and the place just has a weird feeling for me. I didn't have a friendly experience with the staff, it took forever to get the check and get out there. Really there's no good reason to go there. more

This diner is ok! 2/28/2006

Everybody who knows has been to Melrose, but it's not a place to go all the time. It's just not as good as the song would have you believe. In fact, once you've been there once, there's no reason to ever go back unless you live next door and can't be bothered to go someplace good. Try it out, but trust me, you won't be back. more

Great Food 1/17/2006

They have great food and desserts. Their staff is very friendly. They have average prices. I like their chicken fingers. I like their rice pudding and they make delicious cakes too!! It is a nice place to go and eat. All of their food tastes good. I would recommend going to eat here. more

Everyone who knows goes to Melrose! 1/16/2006

Located in South Philly, the Melrose Diner is a Philadelphia Institution that everyone should go to once. It is a popular diner serving typical diner fare. Their bakery is especially great. The cakes are to die for and worth making the trip to South Philly to get one for a birthday. Interesting fact- if you only have two in your party, the booths are set up so you share with other people you don't know. It's part of what makes Melrose so unique. more
