There aren't a lot of places my kids (7&3) like to go to eat. MeiWah is one of there favorites! it's comfortable and they can try as many food as they would like. There's always plenty of vegtable dishes to go along with the meats and noodles. The ice cream buffet is a family favorite. Pros: Inexpensive, real tastey, not crowded Cons: little parking, buffet is small more

  • The Scene
It's located in a strip shopping mall, but once you're inside, and ensconced in one of the comfy booths, you forget the noise and traffic outside. Quiet, serene, with Chinese music playing in the background, you find pretty red lanterns hanging from the ceiling and big plants and bright red tablecloths that provide an Oriental atmosphere. One other big plus: It's really tidy. The glass on the front doors sparkles; the buffet tables shine; a polite employee keeps the floors picked up. You won't be hurried, either; we sat for an hour and a half, as did several other parties near us.

    The Food
Mei Wah has an extensive menu, with anything your heart desires on it. Some of the more complex specialties include honey crispy walnut shrimp--battered shrimp, fried and served with honey-coated walnuts and creamy sauce; or "seven stars around the moon," lobster, pork and chicken sauteed with vegetables and served with shrimp.

    What to Order
Try the Seven Stars, bourbon chicken or any of the dishes on the buffet. Among the best on the buffet are: Soy sauce chicken wings; moo goo gai pan, and veggies with rice noodles. For dessert, there's fresh fruit like watermelon or honeydew, fresh fried Chinese-style biscuits, and a deep-chilled freezer with four varieties of premium ice cream you can dip yourself.
