I have been a customer of this Meineke shop for over 10 years. The service is excellent and timely. When I go in for my annual car inspection, if the servicemen find another problem and it's more than I can afford at the moment, they always give me a print out so I can come back at a later time to have the work done. I highly recommend this shop over my dealership for courtesy and cost. more

Go to a Place that Cares 5/30/2009

I stupidly take my car for a simple inspection and an oil change. They "upsell" me on the oil package, saying they'll top off my "fluids." Turns out "fluids" no longer means transmission fluids, but just washer fluid. $10 well-spent there. Pros: location, hours, nice shiny signs Cons: horrible service, gauging prices, uncaring staff more

Most Reasonable, Great Service 4/20/2009

The new owner has redone the building so that it really looks nice with a waiting room with wireless internet that I don't mind waiting in! They are the most reasonable car repair shop in the Chapel Hill area. They figured out a grinding noise that turned out to be a stuck brake pad and fixed it for $75.00. I willl use them again. Not so great auto care 6/19/2006

The service is not what it's used to be because a new owner bought the store. The car mechanics don't know what they are doing. It is great if you know actually what maintenance service you need. Don't count on them to find out what's wrong with your car. They simply have no clues. In addition, don't trust what they say on the coupon, for example, free tire rotation and inspection with an oil change. They didn't even look at the tires after the oil change and they just told you that they have inspected the car. It is no doubt the cheapest oil change in town with a coupon. But you got what you paid for. more

Be careful... 8/2/2005

When my car was having problems with exhaust, I went here because it was close. The told me I needed an entirely new exhaust system on my 15 year old car despite the fact that I only need it to pass inspection for one more year. The total they quoted me was $1500, on a car worth less than $500! I said no thanks and went elsewhere to get adequate repairs for $200. Be wary of this place, they will try to rip you off. Make sure you know what you need and what you don't need. It also pissed me off that they treated me like a child (I assume because I'm female) and acted like I had no idea what I was talking about. more
