i wish I looked online at reviews before I came here. Not only are they slow but they try to take advantage if you by sellin you everything under the sun. Came in for an alignment and they tried to tell me I needed new shocks and tires on my BRAND NEW car!!! My father is a mechanic (just doesn't have an alignment machine) and told me to tell them no. My only hope is that other people have someone mechanically inclined looking out for them if they plan to do business here. You could not pay me to come back here!!!! more

I recently did business with this particular Meineke. The business was beyond poor and there will be a lawsuit. My vechicle was brought to the business on June 1,2001 for an oil change and additional repairs were found to be necessary. After though, we agreed to the estimated time and amount and had meineke proceed with repairs. The repairs took four days longer than promised and the cost was 300 more than quoted, totaling 1,750 for rear brakes and a new timing belt. The car broke down the same day car was returned from the dealer late evening June 7,2011 /, with shaking, difficulty accelerating and a check engine light. I had the car towed to a Volkswagon dealer where the car was found the repairs were done incorrectly, and the engine is now damaged. I have the full account if there is interest in this. I asked for the Meineke manager (Rinaldo) to see the car at the VW dealer (per the VW dealer) and he refused telling me the VW dealer was lying and refusing any responsibility for my car. We will be opening a lawsuit tomorrow and I have already contacted better bussiness bureau. I am absolutely disgusted with this service, it has costed my family much time and money. The middletown branch has an F by better business bureau. The manager is completely aloof and not accepting slight responsibility for my engine damage and cost and time. more

My son took his car into the shop. Rinaldo told him it would be between $40 & $50 to repair the problem. Later Rinaldo called and informed son that the auto needed $700 in repairs or something would explode. Son asked what repairs were needed and what were preventative. Rinaldo told my son they are all needed and his parents could afford it. When the price seemed too high good old Rinaldo offered to give him a deal and do the job for $550. The mechanic that drove my son back to the dorm said "They are overcharging you, I will do it for half". \r Son paid the "diagnostic charge" and left. He found a local mechanic through a referral that set an appointment and repaired the car in an hour for $275.\r Figured I would give old Rinaldo a call today to see what his story was. At first he could not remember the car and demanded the name of the mechanic that offered to do the job for half. I mentioned his F rating with the BBB and his memory seemed to recover miraculously! As of 5/27/10, this franchise continues to have an "F" rating with the BBB (not a member). They have several complaints against them that they have failed to respond to. I wish I had known that before I went there. I called the BBB after this experience. My car had a loud noise, sounding like the muffler and I only took it here because of close distance to my home. BIG MISTAKE! I would have taken it to another place close by that I've been to before but they're closed on Saturdays. I took my car in on Saturday, 1/9/10. The service manager told me that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. I asked him if it could wait until Monday and he said, oh no, it could fall off and you won't be able to drive the car. I also asked him if this was something that could have been prevented, as I take care of my car and he said no, at this mileage (158,632), this will happen. At that time, I knew nothing about cat. cvt's., but since this terrible experience, I have done my research more
