Let me begin by saying I rarely write a review, let alone a negative one; however, I had such a bad experience I felt I should warn people. \r
I purchased a groupon for one microdermabrasion last month. I have had many over the years, but it had been a while, so a groupon seemed like a good opportunity to find a place close by with reasonable pricing. \r
The tech who performed the procedure was extremely aggressive-- extremely. It was down right painful and I felt ""sunburned"" for several days-- the first time my skin ever responded this way. It is my fault that I didn't speak up and ask her to turn down the intensity; however, I have since spoken with a few people in the business and was told that it should NEVER be painful and you should only feel a mild sandpaper sensation, like a cat licking you. The machine was turned up very high and the pressure that was applied was extreme. Again, I should have spoken up, so that is on me; however, the fact that the tech was performing this procedure incorrectly is disturbing. It really makes me question her training and the safety of getting anything more aggressive done. Needless to say I will not be returning.
