This all could have been a simple transaction but Brandon at McDonald’s Towing would rather make it so hard. I didn’t care of the cost (my insurance would handle it), I was aware of my area, I didn’t even care of the time that it would take to reach me, I only needed tire change service they offered. The first dispatcher told me it was going to be an hour before they could get out to rescue me as if he was qualifying me in the hope that I would call someone else. I’m in sales, but more importantly I’m a consumer so I am very well aware of these tactics. After the second time they asked me if I could hold I reserved my right to say NO. That’s when I was started being chastised of yelling at Brandon and the previous dispatcher. This could be a frustrating situation, but I wasn’t frustrated. I have insurance. Why would I yell at anyone? I didn’t want to be put on hold anymore. After I gave Brandon my information to complete the transaction, credit card information included, I voiced my displeasure of being accused of something that I didn’t do and very poor customer service. The sales process was fine, because of course, they want my money, insurance notwithstanding. Brandon argued me down and would not apologize for his accusations, only reiterated that he took my money for service. He only wanted to further argue that he was a victim in a Business to Customer relationship. He also questioned why I was even bringing such a thing up, when he had other customers with frustrating situations. Again, I wasn’t frustrated, I have a good insurance carrier. I will never use McDonalds Towing again, their arrogance of being a large towing company in Kalamazoo makes them think they have a right to treat customers any kind of way without accountability. They got my money once, but they will never get it again.
