This was my first time using McCormick Electrical Services Inc. I found them doing an online search. They fixed a wiring problem in my house. Everything turned out good. The technician showed up on time and was respectful of my home. He took time to explain what the problem was and answered my questions. He took the time to tell me what to do to avoid problems like this happening in the future. Everything went smoothly. I would absolutely use McCormick Electrical Services Inc again! more

McCormick Electrical Services Inc. is very very good to work with. I recently had them come out to install some outdoor outlets so the roof eves would not freeze over. The technician they sent out was very knowledgeable. He was very respectful and took the time to explain everything to me clearly. When I initially called into the office to set up the appointment it was very easy to do so and they came out immediately. They really stay on top of it. They had to come back out again to finish up the task and everything turned out very good. I definitely will use McCormick Electrical Services Inc. again in the future. This was my first experience with McCormick Electrical Services Inc., and in my personal opinion, you could not ask for a better electrical repair company. The young men who came out were all very nice and polite, and they took the time to explain to me what they were doing, and explain what kind of work needed to be done. They had to work on the electrical boxes, both inside and outside the house, and then do some work on the wiring that went to the furnace. After they finished, everything worked just like it should. Of course, they also showed up on time, and were careful to clean everything up behind themselves. I highly recommend McCormick Electrical Services Inc. to anybody needing electrical repairs! more

Brian did a thorough & complete review of my electric system. Professional and advised me of a number of improvements that could be made. I agreed to the basic repair I had asked for. I found that a light switch and outlet cost almost $500. That seems very expensive. I would not recommend them again without doing some comparison on other service organizations. Erin is exceptional in scheduling & advising when tech is on the way. Brian works efficiently & gets the job done well. Alex his trainee followed instructions from Brian well. Cleaned up after; wore booties when in the house. more

Brian and Seth did a good job. Replacing two outlets became a major project when one of the outlets was found to not have a neutral wire. I am pleased with the results but the cost of $1100 is and was ridiculous. Due to price, I will probably call someone else next time. Cost should have been 2/3 to 1/2 of final charge. more

McCormick Electrical Services Inc. came out to do some electrical work on my pool. This was my first time using them and I definitely would use them again in the future, if I have the need. What the technicians came out to fix still is not working. Although, the company is doing all they can to continue working on it to get it fixed. I definitely would recommend using them, as everything has been great so far. more

The response to my inquiry was prompt and I received a quote in a timely fashion. The persons who arrived seemed very knowledgeable. The quote received was very detailed. They charged to come out to quote unlike others. Also they were very high compared to others even excluding the extras they proposed. I don't usually comment unless I receive a service. Yes and thank you for noticing we do try to be very detailed, knowledgeable and timely in all that we do which yes can increase the investment you may make in doing business with our company. Yes we do charge a one-time service call fee to send one of our techs to a home, we choose to be transparent in that it costs to send a trained technician to a home and that it would not be honest to send someone to your home and bury that cost in an estimate that most other companies provide. We give our clients a down to the penny investment that is guaranteed not to change verse an estimate that unfortunately more times than not we hear from clients went up after a project was started by another company. more

Called and had McCormick do some work for us. Considered the cost compared to time spent on job was not justified. Initial review was not favorable. Was contacted by McCormick and a very reasonable and mutually acceptable resolution was agreed upon. McCormick's willingness to go the extra mile to resolve the issue was much appreciated and reflected well on their concern for their customer relations. more

The electricians were very nice and gave us an estimate "down to the penny" before they left. They told us our breaker box was corroded due to exposure to water and needed to be replaced. They quoted us a price of just over $6200 to replace the circuit breaker panel and the outside wiring due to exposed wires. We had another electrician come and I explained to them what was already told to me, and there is not any corrosion in our breaker box. There is a little bit of rust but only a little bit. He priced everything at around $2000 and said that the estimate this company gave us was triple the cost and they must be charging a $1000 an hour for labor. I am glad I got other another quote and will not be hiring this company to do any work for me ever. RESPONSE FROM McCormick Electrical Services Inc: Thanks for the compliment on our technicians. We are sorry we failed you in regard to price... I will be reviewing your service visit with our technicians as to how or why we failed so miserably. Rest assured we want to always do better. I have a personal hunch on what may have happened and I will continue to learn more. While yes we are not normally the "cheapest" company rest assured we will always care and do our best to make our clients happy. In regard to "$1000 an hour" we definitely do not charge those kind of numbers. Our "down to the penny" pricing is based on 20% materials, 25% labor, 40% Overhead (advertising, licensing, insurance, vehicles, and other expenses) & 15% net profit for the company at the end of the day. Reviewing the scope of the project. I see there would have been way more than 6 hours of work based on our company's standards. The cost was a little expensive due to it being an urgent request. I understand the extra charge but that was quite high. Once he arrived, which was quickly, he discovered the problem within 45 min. It wasn't something he could fix as it was on the pole outside but he contacted AEP on our behalf and arranged for the repair. He was quite good. Thanks! more

Brian did a wonderful job, as well as his assistant Seth. He explained everything in great detail as he was getting it done and gave me the different estimates for the multiple things I needed done so I could make a choice of what would work best for me at that time. Impressive. Their technicians went above and beyond what was asked of them. Not only did they assess what we asked, they found damaged and melted wiring from previous work we had done. They also took note of services that they could provide us that we were having trouble finding in our area. They were professional and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile which is easy when the trades are in a slow economy but hard to find when they are booming as they are now. I would and will refer to them if anyone is in need of electrical services. more
