Home of your Oakland A's and Golden State Warriors 4/15/2006

Oakland Coliseum is home to the Oakland A’s and Golden State Warriors. There are two stadiums located conveniently next to each other and is a sports fanatic’s paradise. The Golden State warriors are finishing off a disappointing season but the Arena has a lot more to offer then just seating. As you walk into the stadium the staff and security are focused on everyone’s safety and makes sure you know where your seat is. There are also a number of food stand available on the inside. Escalators and elevators are conveniently located for easy access and are fairly clean. McCafee Coliseum home to the Oakland Athletics is also a great stadium but can get crowded at times. The seats are pretty comfortable and there are plenty of food stands available on the outside and inside. Both of these stadiums are within reasonable driving distance and if you think traffic could be a problem, BART is available as well. Bart is a commuter’s train/ light rail that will drop you off right before the stadium. With easy access to your favorite local sports teams how can you not see them? more

Ode to the upper deck 3/31/2006

The McAfee Coliseum, home of the Oakland A's and the Raiders, is a pleasant place to take in a ballgame on a summer afternoon. Although it's located in a not-so-nice neighborhood in Oakland, it's also perched right next to BART, which makes it an attractive destination nonetheless - it's easy to get in and out; no fighting to get out of a packed parking lot. There are a variety of seating options available from field level to the outfield, although they've closed the upper deck for baseball season starting this year. It's definitely an older park and more suited to football than baseball in basic design, it's still a good park with plenty of concession stands and restroom facilities available. My one complaint is the lack of baby changing tables in the restrooms. They really should have them. Other than that, fun place. more

pacbell is better 8/19/2005

This place is just getting really old and decrepit, but at least the A's aren't sucking this year! On the plus side, food is way cheaper than across the bay, and the Coliseum is the best place for a good old fashioned hot dog, fries, and beer. Tickets aren't horribly expensive either. Another good thing is that BART takes you right to the entrance so it's so convenient taking public transportation to games. yay. more

Go A's!!! 8/18/2005

With the baseball season coming down to its final weeks, playoff fever is really hitting the East Bay. The A's, as usual, are right in the thick of things, having decided to make things interesting only when it matters. And all the fans are just fine with that. Come down to the park for some quality ball. Wednesdays are $2 upper level seats plus one dollar hot dogs, yes ONE DOLLAR. Check out the local sports page for other fun ofers. An A's game is unlike any other team in the majors. The drums, the chants, the horns...great time. more

Great location, good place to see a great baseball team 8/14/2005

The McAfee Coliseum, formerly known as the Network Associates Coliseum, is conveniently located within walking distance of a BART station. It is also the place where you can catch one of the premier teams in baseball, the Oakland A's. Couple this with affordable ticket prices (especially on 2-dollar Wednesdays, when upper level seating is two dollars) and this makes for a pleasant, fun experience at the ballpark. Parking is very expensive, so the best bet is to leave your car at home and take BART. more

great 8/13/2005

I had a wonderful time at this place because of the good seats and a wonderful baseball team. The food is good because it offers different varieties of food and I enjoy them all. Its a great place to bring family and friend to cheer on a great team. I will be coming here more years to come, but I hear they will be building a new one. more

Home of the Oakland Atheletics 6/16/2005

I've been to many baseball games at the coliseum and I've always had a great time. They have several food choices. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The bleacher seats are the best in my opinion. It's a great family atmosphere for to take in a ball game. more
