Back in the Internet boom days everyone used to call this place "Silicon Deli," as it was convenient to the offices of Silicon Alley and good for a quick over-priced bite. Not much as changed, other than the nickname.
On the plus side, their portions are huge and their milkshakes very, very good. If you really like comfort food, and you're in the area, you might want to check it out. However, on the down side, the service is surly, the prices and portions are excessive, and everyone who goes there seems determined to make sure you hear every word of their conversation -- I'm not sure if the place has bad acoustics or just attracts those with bad manners.
In general, the place has always struck me as the worst of New York merged with the worst of LA with some decent food on the side. Going there always seems like a better idea than it is. You can skip it.
