Front Desk Staff - Helpful more

worst massage ever 12/15/2010

The laddy that massaged me was terrible late, coming eating something ( I can hear her chewing some smelly food) more

BAD SERVICE, BAD EXPERIANCE 5/25/2010

You may think $39 is cheap for a massage BUT horrible service! Their reception desk doesn't know anything and tell you incorrect info. Do not get their membership because they simply do not know how to take care of their customers. They do not call to remind you of your appointments and do not care that your membership ends enough to tell you. Read the complete contract before signing. Also a very sterile environment, feel like i am at a doctors office rather than a spa. I have got many massages and been to way better spas in Houston. Now I know I rather fork the $100 for good quality service then this place. Go else where! Pros: none Cons: service more

Think twice before signing up for a membership 3/25/2009

Think twice before signing a contract with any Houston Massage Heights. I have had great massages there but unfortunately in the end, the hassle trying to communicate with the office staff (not massage therapists) has been a true nightmare. I fulfilled my one year membership, notified them at the end that I would not be renewing and gave my 30 day cancellation notice. However, that was over 45 days ago, and low and behold, I got membership dues deducted again from my bank account. After numerous attempts to get Andrea, the assistant Manager, to reply to my emails I contacted the Area Developer because I was getting nowhere. I’m still not getting acceptable communication from the River Oaks management (either none at all or what little I’ve had has been nothing but one excuse or lie after another) and I still do not have a refund on the membership dues that were charged to my bank account by mistake (they have acknowledged it was a mistake on their part, but claim it was due to a “programming error” in the cancellation system). After they’ve assured me they’ve put the credit through to my account (on March 17th and it’s now March 25th), I still cannot get anyone to send me a copy of the refund receipt to my bank account nor are the funds back in my account. For a company that promotes relaxation, they sure have given me lots of stress and frustration! Pros: Good massage therapists Cons: HORRIBLE office staff and management! more

Not impress 1/29/2009

I showed up early for my massage appointment and found out I had no appointment. I asked if I could get booked with another available therapist. The young lady working the counter said they only had two thrapist. I couldn't believe it. Only two therapist. Are you in the buisiness of trying to make any money. Pros: location more

Great Deal on 1 Hour Massages 1/25/2009

I had never had a massage before and some people at my office were recommending Massage Heights. My wife actually bought a gift certificate for me for Christmas so I finally went in for a one hour massage appointment. I definitely recommend going there. I told my therapist to use firm pressure and she worked out some knots and stress points in my upper back and shoulders. It's very affordable and I actually signed up for a membership so I'm going to get a one hour massage once a month now. Go check it out for yourself! I went to the location off of Shepherd and Westheimer. Pros: Great Therapists Cons: none more

Great Massage! Book an appointment!! 1/25/2009

I had not gotten a massage in over a year and needed to get one. A friend recommended Massage Heights so I went to the location off of Westheimer and Shepherd. The atmosphere is very nice and calming and my one hour massage was awesome. I signed up for one of their memberships and got my boyfriend signed up too. Now we go together and get massages in their couples room which is cool. If you're not getting regular massages you should start. It gives me more energy and I always feel renewed and seem to sleep better at night. I usually get the hot stone therapy and have done the foot scrub a couple of times which is nice. Go check it out for yourself and enjoy the relaxation!! Pros: Affordable Massage Cons: None more

Massage Yikes! 1/18/2009

I have been to alot of massage places in my life but never had such a bad experience. The sheets were stained and my therapist looked like he hadn't bathe in days! Hands down worst experience ever!!! Pros: none Cons: soooo nasty more

Loved my massage 12/24/2008

I had the best experience here. I was skeptical at first thinking that it was another Massage Envy (unqualified therapists), but I had the best massage. My deep tissue was a true deep tissue and I really enjoyed the hot stone massage. It was very clean and the staff was very nice. I'm taking my family from out of town there this weekend. Pros: great massage more

best massage 12/24/2008

I had the best massage ever at Massage Heights. Everyone was so friendly and my therapist was very knowledgable and professional. I have been to many spas and this was my best massage ever. Definitely try it out. Pros: great massage, friendly staff, great price Cons: none more

Massage hieghts 12/21/2008

This place has such bad customer service. It is soo not worth anybody's time. The front desk staff was rude and my therapist gave me the creeps. I suggest you not pick any male therapist with the name Ceasar, total wierdo!!!! Pros: near by Cons: terrible service more

Really Like This Place 7/17/2008

Just got one of the best massages I've ever had for 40$. For the price and the quality of the massage, you just can't get better than that! I immediately joined and am so glad that I did. My therapist was very intuitive to my body and was very accomdating. The facility was clean and tidy and everyone was very nice. And I intend on going back again this month and will definitely be bringing friends and family. more

LOVES IT!! 7/14/2008

I just recently had my first massage from massage heights and was completely blown away. For franchise massage chains I usually don't expect much: from the front desk, the therapists, or the management, but my assumptions were completely off! I was greeted very warmly, the front desk was very amiable and helpful, the therapist was very professional and knowledgable about what was going on with my body. And the hot stone massage was AMAZING! I felt like a million bucks when I left! And for the service, you just can't beat the prices. Most people swear by the "you get what you pay for" rule in life, but that rule could NEVER apply for massage heights. I will tell all of my friends, family, and co-workers to stop by and try it out for themselves. If you experience it, you'll understand! Pros: great massage and friendly front staff Cons: none more

not satisfied... 7/9/2008

I have gotten many massages in Houston and this place by far did not meet my expectations. I read about Massage Heights on City Search and thought I would give it a try as it seemed like it had good reviews. I called to set the appointment, and had to ask 20 questions before I could book anything. I requested a few upgrades, of which were not communicated to my massage therapist, and I did not receive. Furthermore, the massage was sub par to say the least. It was short and the therapist was not very good. In conclusion, I am very dissatisfied with these massage chains who include your changing and "consultation" time as part of your massage time. Pros: quick and convenient Cons: used car salesman staff and poor internal communication more

Something Fisheeeee!!!! 6/27/2008

I am a very detail oriented person so when I visit a place I not only pay attention to how I am treated, but I also observe how managers perform and how employees are treated as well. The company that sponsors me agreed to take this assignment very far. I have a short term membership and everything. My assignment is ending so I have decided to let the potential visitors know what I thought about this place. I must admit, there are SOME nice people at this place and there are some that are all about money and favortism. I have been in several times and noticed that certain therapist are treated differently than others. And the front desk people? There's only one African American person that works there now, but when i first became a member I remember seeing about three (maybe four). As far as therapist...there's one African American. A coincidence? I think not! I usually come in early every other friday or weekend. There's always the same two faces in the front lobby area, one of them is usually the African American lady. The other is sometimes a young Caucassian or Hispanic lady (although for the last month or so I have seen an older caucassian lady, who I don't particularly like...a little dry and tempered). I have occassionaly spoken with the owners of this location. They attempt to put on the nice friendly role, but it seems so unnatural. The manager on the other hand is a real delight...great conversation and personality. I give this place two (for good massages only) Again, I must admit that the massages are a real treat. All of the therapist are certified and very professional. So if you are strictly in it for the massages, then this is the place to be. I, on the other hand, am a holistic thinker....I want the entire experience to be perfect, ethical, and full of integrity! Pros: Great Massages! Cons: In my opinion, not fair to the people who make the place what it is more

Just what the doctor ordered! 5/22/2008

I just don't recover from the once-a-week sporting activities like I did as a teenager. Stopping by Massage Heights on the way home from work helps me work out the cobwebbs and leave the stress at the office. Thanks for keeping me healthy MHs! more

OUTSTANDING! BEST OF THE BEST, I HAVE HAD MASSAGES ALL OVER THE WORLD AND HAVE RECOMMEND MASSAGE HEIGHTS TO ALL MY FRIENDS. 5/21/2008

Surprised by Jackie's comment, Ceasar is anything but weird. It almost sounds as if Jackie works for one of the local competitors...... Nice try, but Massage Heights is still one of the best most clean cut massage businesses in Houston. Pros: Still thumbs up in my book. Cons: I now see there are more Massage Heights in Houston! more

Great massage - Excellent price! 5/14/2008

I'm hooked! I had a great therapist & a great massage - the deep tissue massage w/ the hot stones rocks! Thanks Massage Heights! more
