i've been to mason jar twice in the past month for dinner. Damn near everything i've had has been excellent. The country crabcake burger (real, large chunks of crab, very little filler, messy & delicious), the chicken pot pie (buttery flaky crust, and probably 3.5lbs of it) , the brussel sprouts w/ pistachio(!), and the green bean casserole (mixed with mushrooms & topped with crunchy onions ) are all fantastic. The mac and cheese (good, just not special), fried pickles (too thick, hard to eat, but well seasoned) and bomba chocolate flourless cake (tasted like a microwave brownie made with good chocolate) were pretty good. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. ($11 - 18 for most entrees w/ 2 sides). \r
I wish they had lunch service on weekends, but i'm going to make time to get there during the week. After seeing someone else eat it, I really want to try the Frozen Lemonade pie. \r
I highly suggest this place when in the mood for really good, reasonably priced, rich and comforting meal.
