Do not waist your money here!!! Food was just ok, but service was absolutely horrible!!!!! Male waiter during lunch on Thursday, 5/24 was terribley rude. I will not waste my hard earned dollars at this establishment. As a matter of fact, I may make it my mission to sink this place. Hey owner feel free to give me a call. This guy should be fired! more

I recently visited the Mason Jar for the first time. I saw their review and decided to check it out with friends of mine. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly host who seated us at a nice table for four near the window. We tried different things so we could taste each others entrees. We had the Duck, which was wonderful, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Our favorite out of the four we tried however, was the Ernestos Stew, a delightful mixture of Mussels, Shrimp and Mahi in a spicy tomato broth served with 3 pieces of Crostini for dipping. We finished with the dessert Sampler platter which gave us a taste of three of their signature desserts, lemon delight, strawberry chocolate pie and a flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. It was a very nice experience from the minute we walked in the door. The service was great, the food was great. We will go back! Nice job Mason Jar more

In town visiting and was told about a write up in the local paper - 4 stars. Must've been true because the place was hoppin. Took a little while to get a table because it was so busy, but the food was sensational. It was a great find and we will be coming back the next time we are in town! The best experience of our entire visit to Fort Lauderdale so far! more

Been there twice for lunch. Each time not busy, but the wait very long. Three iced teas later the food finally came. Food was tasty but not worth the price or the wait. Been there, done that. Disappointed. Shame, cute place. more

Big disappointment. Pot pie burnt on top and raw underneath. Flavorless filling. Side veggies- cheesy potatoes okay , not hot. What is spice in Mac and cheese and hy us it sweet? Skip the green bean casserole and the clam chowder as well. more

Menu was limited, but food was fresh hot and tasty. Service was the worst! Ate entire meal waiting on second cup of coffee while server visited with friends at the next table. more

Thanks to the team at Mason Jar for a truly excellant dinner. The bacon tomato bisque is to die for. The brussels sprouts side have made me consider them to be an edible food but I still don't trust myself to cook them so will have to keep coming here. more

The ambiance is like sitting in a friend's kitchen having dinner. The food is amazing! Best comfort food in town. The mac and cheese and the chicken pot pie were super delicious. The food is fresh and decently priced. Great date place!! more

Overall, there are such better places to go than The Mason Jar. For the type of food and flavor, I thought spending $108 for three people was way too much. Especially for a place decorated like "Mel's Diner". I found the female server to have a diner like approach with us. While we were ordering, she was rushing us because the cook rang the bell to let her know food was ready. I paid $108 for that kind of service and food? I won't go back. Do yourself a favor and head to Cafe Jamm just down the street for better food, better ambiance, and a much better value. more

i've been to mason jar twice in the past month for dinner. Damn near everything i've had has been excellent. The country crabcake burger (real, large chunks of crab, very little filler, messy & delicious), the chicken pot pie (buttery flaky crust, and probably 3.5lbs of it) , the brussel sprouts w/ pistachio(!), and the green bean casserole (mixed with mushrooms & topped with crunchy onions ) are all fantastic. The mac and cheese (good, just not special), fried pickles (too thick, hard to eat, but well seasoned) and bomba chocolate flourless cake (tasted like a microwave brownie made with good chocolate) were pretty good. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. ($11 - 18 for most entrees w/ 2 sides). \r \r I wish they had lunch service on weekends, but i'm going to make time to get there during the week. After seeing someone else eat it, I really want to try the Frozen Lemonade pie. \r \r I highly suggest this place when in the mood for really good, reasonably priced, rich and comforting meal. more

I honestly felt like I was at a family members house. The friendly staff was smiling from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. Paula was extremely friendly and funny, and the food is indescribable you MUST try for yourself!! No wonder it's called Comfort food because that's the feeling you'll receive after such a wonderful meal. more
