NEVER,EVER, AGAIN 1/1/2009

At first glance, this place look hot & trendy. However, soon you will encounter a poor service of staff, overpriced check, low quality foods. Especially, they really need to improve their service through teaching their waiter/waitress the ""attitude"" ; they are so rude and hostile. A lot of people visited here usually experienced similar rude service and ruined their special nights. Pros: location Cons: poor service, etc. except location more

Can be better 9/5/2008

Although this place is hip and trendy, it is overpriced and overcrowded. Be sure to get there early on Friday and Saturday nights because seating becomes limited if you don't have a reservation. If you are planning on celebrating a birthday or special occasion I recommend reserving a private room or the entire section around the giant bell near the entrance. Overall I would say this place is average. Yellowstone is always a ""Plan B"" never a ""Plan A"" when in k town. Pros: Hip, Trendy Cons: Overcrowded, Pricey, cramped/ no seating more

This place suffers from an elevated sense of self -importance 6/25/2007

What a disappointment! Most spots in K-town have wonderful customer service and usually bend over backwards to accommodate guests, but this joint, albeit a cool spot, needs to train their staff on customer service. Using a tired excuse of ""we have other customers who would gladly comply with our policy,"" when asked to agree to a completely reasonable request regarding meeting equivalent charges/fees, and with their ""combo"" menu sets being a rip off for what you get (undoubtedly just padded-in service fees masquerading as a deal), this place is a pass. more

If you come here, you will get into an argument with the wait staff. 6/24/2007

This place is no good. While trying to be trendy, it is still just another Korean joint, and the service just makes you want to throw drinks at the waitress and yell at the manager. The gougy prices ($270 for whiskey, five beers, and fruit) and constant, rude, badgering from the wait staff about meeting the ""minimum"" for the table make you want to go down the street to many of the other choices in Korea town. Pros: Trendy atmosphere Cons: Price, pushy service more

Secret But Spectacular 10/27/2006

Maru is one of the few places that is one of the finest lounges in the city let alone K-Town. The drinks aren't extraordinarily pricey, but they're higher than most other KTown places. Karaoke is doable around here as well and the rooms are very fun and spacious. Most of the patrons may be Korean, but don't let that intimidate you from coming in and enjoying Maru. Pros: Interior, Prices, Drinks more
