Grant Tabuchi and Martial Arts America-Karate for Kids 1/18/2012

I have been involved with Martial Arts American - Karate for Kids under Grant Tabuchi for close to 20 years. Even though I currently live out of state, I still train with him whenever I can. I started by enrolling my grade school son in his school, then shortly there after enrolling myself in the adult program. Personally, I don't even know what his exact rank is. I've not known him to brag about it. I do know that in the many years that I have been associated with him I have seen a caring teacher and a dedicated martial artist. Anyone who has been seriously involved with his program knows of his dedication to the martial arts and his martial skills. I've known him to take kids at risk and mentor them as if they were his own child. One of the aspects of his program that I found desirable was that he was always willing to add to his own skill set then pass the new skills on to his students. This always seemed to be just as much a desire to have well rounded training as it was a good business decision. A student taking full advantage of what Mr. Tabuchi has to offer will have a great breadth and depth in martial arts. The serious student will go a long way in learning martial skills and leadership skills that will benefit them for life. I have found that you get what you pay for in training only if you put in an honest effort to train. more

Great Martial Arts Programs 1/16/2012

I previously studied Tae Kwon Do in college and another school. I put my son in Mr. Tabuchi's 'Karate for Kids' program with incredible results. Watching my son's classes motivated me to again train Tae Kwon Do under Martial Arts Americas instruction. The classes are balanced with a good dose of physical aerobic activities while focusing on solid technical techniques. Sensei Tabuchi is expert in Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, Eskrima, physical health and has assisted with weight, general health. maintenance with Arthritis complications. S.C. Certified PFT more

Done so much for my kids and myself 1/16/2012

I have two children that are going through the program. The program has provided them with discipline, confidence, leadership and physical fitness that they wouldn't get just by going to school or playing sports. When I compare their abilities when they started the program to now, the difference is really astounding. MAA also teaches Krav Maga and Jiujitsu. I enjoyed taking the Krav Maga classes for several years - it's much more fun than just going to the gym! I am really glad that I put my kids in the program and have recommended it to other parents. more

Self-defense for the whole family 8/12/2005

Teaching Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu and Eskrima, this school provides a well-rounded approach to those wishing to learn martial arts. The head instructor, Grant Tabuchi, is a sixth degree black belt who is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching. There are both children and adult classes, and the occasional tournaments are a great way to test your newly acquired skills. The place is very clean and well-organized, though the gear and testings can be a bit expensive. more
