I have been going to Dr. Markowitz for the past 3 years (very stupid of me, I have to admit). The only positive side about the visits is that if you have an emergency, he will see you the next day. But, as you will soon learn, he frequently prescribes medicine that is too strong and hence unnecessary for a specific problem that you have. However, the worst part about his practice is his corporate/billing department. Be prepared to receive bills from visits that took place 3 years ago, for which you most likely have already paid.. and as in my case have paper evidence to substantiate the fact that you have already paid. They will not hear any of this. You will be asked to pay for every single visit twice, it will turn out that you didn't pay for some exam or test that he decided to add later (very arbitrarily) and that you have no recollection of having done 3 years ago when you had a different insurance and which your current insurance will not cover. Also, beware that it is a common practice for his office to send all those 3 year old bills STRAIGHT to the collections agency without sending them to you first. If you want to have a constant headache, pay over $2,000 in double fees for visits from 3 years ago, have your credit score go down because your claims are constantly being sent to the collections agency instead of to you, please go see Dr. Markowitz.
Pros: Easy to schedule an urgent appointment
Cons: Disorganized, serious problems with billing
