Worth visiting 4/16/2006

Marketplace on Oakton has a great selection of produce, dairy, deli, frozen fish and ethnic foods. Their produce is reasonably prices and usually fresh, although I do recommend looking closely at what you buy as with any store. When I go, I check out their selection of frozen fish, as the fresh fish I've tried on a few occasions was only average. Ethnic foods include Asian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European, with an large selection of each. They have a large deli with great selections and prices lower than the major stores, but Village Market Place on Oakton has better prices on deli for many items. Still, we've managed to save money on groceries by buying from them and Village Market Place instead of Jewel and Dominicks. more

Great Grocery 4/15/2006

I really like this grocery store even though it's quite a bit of drive from the city. They have cheaper fruit and vegetables compared to Jewel or Dominick. They also sell fresh fish and seafood, some of the fish like buffalo are just hard to find in other places. At the back of the store next to the fish, they have deli that you can buy sliced, the selection of their deli is pretty complete. The cookies they sell are also different from other chain groceries. The owner is very friendly, he will help you even if you only make a small purchase. If you live in the area, you should definitely check it out. more

Eastern European and Middle Eastern Food Here!!! 12/2/2005

This is the perfect place to shop for ethnic food at good prices. They have a large selection of products from Eastern Europe and Middle East. Their fresh produce section has a lot of variety, too. If you could not find a specific fruit of veggie, it is very likely that you will find it there. Also take a look at the bread section- very nice breads!! One thing you should be is that sometimes the products imported are not that fresh. I don't know if it takes a lot of time to bring them here to the U.S. or what? more

Guess what this is? Another grocery store! Yep, these are getting pretty redundant, but deal with it. This is a large store, located next to Aldi, but so so so much better. Great selection, low prices, very good deli, and the store itself is very easy to find and figure out. more

Great selection, great prices, my favorite 8/5/2005

This supermarket offers a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and ethnic groceries. Prices are much cheaper compared to national chain grocery stores and produce is always fresh. You can try all kinds of ethnic food. I especially like the feta cheese and the wide variety of breads. We definitely visit every week. It is my favorite supermarket and I would recommend it to anyone who is into fresh produce and cooking. more
