After many years buying glasses from them (Pike Place store) and using their optometrist services, I decided to go somewhere else. The coating on my lenses is peeling off all around the rim. I was told first I was three months out of warranty, and then that it must be something wrong with my skin that causes this problem! Had coated glasse for all my life! Bad customer service! more

I love Market Optical and their employees- Wendy (now at Bellevue store) and Bill (Pike Place) are fantastic- they are excellent at combining facial features/personalities with the perfect frame and they are both very friendly and helpful. I have been buying my glasses from them since I moved here in 1988. I am waiting for 3 new frames to come in right now! Another important thing- they stand by all of their work. more

I have never been disappointed by the service I have received at Market Optical. I have purchased several pairs of glasses from them as well as visited their optician. The staff is gifted in the ability to select glasses that are flattering to your face. In addition, they have a great selection, albeit smaller than some, of funky, cool glasses. more

I was a first-time glasses wearer at age 42, and couldn't imagine what life was going to be like with something on my face all the time. Lee at Market Optical was great at picking frames that really did something for me, and made me feel like I was participating in something hip and crazy. The frames here are on the pricey side, but it's hard to beat the selection. more

...and they've never fit correctly. LIke the first reviewer, I was excited by the hip frames at Market Optical and such personalized service. I also had my face studied carefully and the sales person picked out three flattering frames just for me, which was fun. But they keep slipping down and I have to go back every month to adjust them. It is kind of a pain. Just make sure those cool frames actually fit your face. more

Market Optical has frames that the big chain stores don't carry. The one problem with the selection at Market Optical is that, it is still difficult to find a frame that doesn't look slightly cat eyed in the woman's section. Yes, I know that this look is very trendy but it doesn't look good on everyone. Otherwise, Optical carries frames from different designers and a wider color selection than many other optical stores. The men's selection looked good too but was rather small. Overall, I would visit Eyes on Fremont also just to compare. The service at Market Optical was very good and they do take insurance. more

I was recently told by the eye doctor that it was time to think about wearing glasses. I visited many different optical stores trying on a variety of frames and never really feeling comfortable with the selection and the service. I never found any frame that really excited me. I went to Market Optical and was assisted by Daniel. He took a close look at my face and immediately picked out three different frames, all which fit my face well and looked great. He spent time with me as I kept trying on different frames for comparison, but I kept coming back to the first three he picked out for me. The challenging part was choosing one of the three. The service was excellent and their selection is unique and different . They are a little on the expensive side, but glasses are an important for both functionality and you overall appearance. A great experience and a great pair of glasses. more
