Dr. Marino is simply the best dentist that I have ever gone to in my 47 years of life. Is it weird that I actually WANT to go to the dentist now? more

I have been going to Dr. Marino for about 3 years now and I am very happy to say that I absolutely love Dr. Marino and her staff! They all make me feel so comfortable and I actually look forward to going to the dentist now. I also love the fact that the office is extremely immaculate, and it has a calming ambiance that makes me feel like I am at a spa resort! They are so nice and caring, but they definitely don't give off that ""being fake nice because I have to"" vibe. My husband had A LOT of work done and I was actually surprised how cheap it was...I was so ecstatic because we have an uncommon insurance company...and they took it!! The front office person (sweet lady, but I forget her name) told me they accepted almost all insurance companies. My kids (ages 3,6 and 8) also love Dr. Marino's office. There is a giant toy wall where they get to pick a toy (or two) and my kids talk non-stop about it. I can't believe they actually look forward to the dentist now! I have no clue what sccb02 and em2009 are talking about. I LOVE Dr. Marino! When I cam in for my first appointment, my mouth was a mess.. Dr. Marino completely fixed my mouth. I am no longer embarrassed to smile. My whole family and many of my friends also go to Dr Marino and love her as much as I do. Dr. Marino and her staff are dishonest and are just out to make money at the expense of the patient's well being. I was pressured into getting xrays when they knew my insurance was not going to cover it and in spite of the fact that I had a recent xrays.f xrays. I also had a cleaning last fall from a different dentist (I am new to Scripps Ranch) and was told my teeth looked great and I only needed to keep an eye on one tooth. When I went to Dr. Marino a few weeks ago I told her I have no pain or sensitivity so was very surprised when I was told I needed four crowns! I am very good with dental hygiene--flossing and brushing every day and have cleanings every 6 to 9 months. When I went for the start of my treatment plan and began questioning Dr. Marino's prognosis she was very curt in telling me that I should just leave and go get a second opinion after telling me I didn't feel anything because I had a root canal! I've never had a root canal...they were looking at the wrong patient chart.! I immediately took off my bib and left. I went to another dentist who was referred to me by a friend and he said exactly the same thing my previous dentist had! He said my teeth look great (he was looking at the same set of xrays that Dr. Marino was looking at) and that I should keep an eye on the same tooth that my previous dentist had spoken of. I would avoid at all costs going to this dentist. I initially was drawn to her practice because she seemed very patient friendly and her staff seemed very close knit and organized. This is a facade! They are rude, dishonest, and try to take full advantage of their patient's dental benefits even when the work is unnecessary. Cons: dishonest, poor explanation of benefits more

I have had exactly the opposite experience from the negative review I just read. Dr. Marino was able to save me from an unnecessary root canal and I would never have known the difference. Also, she has been very affordable (as far as dentistry goes!) and I just love the office environment. Equipment is very current and they have nice extras such as blankets, t.v., etc. Pros: Gentle, Reasonable, Kind, Relaxing Ambience Cons: Minor hassle to get there since you can't turn directly into the parking lot from the road off I-15 but have to go to the light and make a U-turn more

This dentist was referred to me by a friend. I knew that Dr. Marino had been part of another dental group, I just did not realize that she was not one of the better dentists. Two temporary crowns fell off, and I was urged to get dental service I did not need. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. Pros: Parking is available Cons: Service and skill is sub par more
