I went to Marathon Sports in Brookline two weeks ago looking for new shoes because another running store had put me in sneakers that were not well suited to my feet. I was suffering from plantar faciatis. The clerk watched me walk barefoot then explained what she saw. Then I tried on several pairs of sneakers and two of the people who worked there went out on the sidewalk each time to watch me run. They were making sure the sneakers didn't let my feet turn inward when I ran. I bought new addidas sneakers and a water belt. They were so helpful and friendly and really took the time to make sure I was properly fitted. It sure makes a difference when I am pounding the pavement. I will buy my next pair and my next pair..... from Marathon Sports. I think the woman's name was Jo who helped me out. Go see her.
