Today I received a call from this collection agency trying to collect a debt from an apartment I lived in 4 years ago. The man i spoke to wasn't rude but also not polite, he offered to settle my debt for a price less that what he said I owed and he would be happy to take it off my report as long as I paid within a week (sounds a little fishy). I rented this apartment with my brother and wanted to ask him if he could remember any type of issue why we would owe money on this apartment so I said I would call him back. I am sure i paid all my rent and couldn't recall any significant damages I could have made to that place to absorb my $500 deposit and incur an additional $500 in charges. My brother couldnt either. So i did the only thing any responsible person would do. I asked if he could provide me with a statement of the charges. His response, ""I'm not going to go into storage to get something that happened four years ago!"" Then he became flat out rude. So let me get this straight, you want me to pay you money this week to take it off my report but you cant give me any proof i actually owe you money? NICE TRY!!! Your entire job is to collect money, don't you think they would have organized files containing support for each one of the accounts they purchase or are paid to collect. Either they are a terribly unorganized company in which case if you were trying to collect money why would you want them collecting for you or they are a complete scam. I highly recommend you stay away from this company. If this post prevents one company from contracting with this company it is well worth it. Just bad business! more

I talked with a gentleman there who was very rude and unable to give me any information. I asked him why something just showed on my credit from 5 years ago. He said he (assumed) it was from not paying rent. I said you assume? is it your job to assume? he asked if i was a lawyer and i said no, however i do know my rights and the law and i know they are required to keep it on file for 7 years. I just called wanting to know what the fine was for. For 15 minutes this guy went on and on and on. more

Thank you for your reviews, they have been very helpful. This lady ""Mary"" is very rude. I understand that I owe the money, I am trying to make ends meet. Being yelled at and cursed at is no way to obtain the money from me. Constantly calling, just to be rude and yell, harrasing me at work, not to mention harrasing my employer as well. This woman is ridiculous. I would honestly hope and pray she never loses her job, and falls behind and someone harrasses her the way she harrasses people. It is very demeaning to people like myself who have lost so much as it is. Pros: NONE!!!!! Cons: SHE REALLY SHOULD PUT HERSELF IN OUR SHOES more

This women Mary is EXTREMELY hard to communicate with. I was trying to explain to her that I was ready to pay off my debt all I needed was a bill explaining why it is now more than what is on my credit report. She continually talked over me and refused to send me anything! She proceeded to tell me that if I paid her with a visa right now over the phone she would completely remove her company from my credit report. ( this is what sent up a red flag, I know that NOTHING can be removed completely from your credit report.) She finally agreed to send me a bill and that she would be calling the next day to collect payment. So I dug up all my records and if you have ever seen a bill from this place it is CRAZY the bill says it is a reciept for payment made but shows no reflection of what the payment was. It shows a # then an interest charge ( which not only goes up every month, but I never knew I had to pay interest or what the interest rate is!) Then it shows a final number on the bottom. K. so look at the next ""bill"" Its a new number that makes no sense with the last number a new higher interest charge and a new final number which is usually under 10$ of the last bill. And still no showing of the payment although it again states that it is a reciept for the last payment.....I JUST DONT GET IT! I am trying to be responsible here and I am sure in this economy this lady gets very little calls on people wanting to pay her. But, she did make it very clear that it was my credit being ruined not hers so she could care less. This lady is rude disrespectful and I am starting to believe is a scam artist. I am definitly looking into this more before paying her any more money! I would encourage others to do the same thing. Pros: WHAT PROS? I have been working with them for over a year , Mary ( whom I've delt with ) is very rude and unprofessional . I am on the other side , they are collecting from me . That aside , I have asked for a statement of my account for the last 15 months . Still nothing . I have complained to the Better Buisness of Sacramento . I am waiting for a response . Granted I am in collections , but I still have a right to see the accounting of my account . Complete %#&*@!+ . Pardon my French . We must have some rights and I am at my wits end . Any suggestions ??? outside of ohhhh heh pay your bills . Everything is not black and white . Cons: nazis more

3rd party creditors.....you either work with them or they turn against you. In this particular case, ""Mary"" (I'm assuming she's the owner) has no training in handling clients. How can you call someone and assume that they are just going to give you money just like that with no explanation of the allegations? Your job is to collect money, but it doesn't mean you have to be demanding, rude and very unhelpful. This person doesn't even work with you to try to come up with a resolution or an arrangement. Why would anyone want to hire a person like this to collect money for them? The percentage of her accomplishing her job would be significantly low due to poor attitude. She sounds like one of those old unhappy ladies that doesn't love her job. Very unprofessional and embarrassing to represent a company. Please avoid this company at all costs.
