Probably the only local and reliable theater to regularly feature independent and/or foreign films, Manlius Art Cinema (and its sister theater, the Westcott) occupies a unique niche in the area. Typically, there are 2 shows a day (6:00 and 8:00) and a matinée on weekends for comparable movie prices. Converted from an old airplane hanger, the theater has a unique long, narrow shape (and can be cold in the winter--bring a warm sweater!) and less fashionable seating (without drink holders!) Still, it's worth it to be able to regularly see movies that play only in select larger cities--a great find!
