Lisa Gilham, owner and former administrative assistant (Obvious connection! That job will drive anyone to drink!), has finally brought some hip to downtown Nashua, NH. The vibe is good and the martinis are very good - although you will pay for the whole NYC vibe with $15 a martini, but it's worth it to be able to sit in the Manhattan on Pearl and dream that you're in a chic midtown joint. Okay, you're not, but just go with me on this.... MOP (for short) is a great place - although very loud on busy evenings since the acoustics are terrible in the place. Whoever they hired to shape the ceiling like a tunnel should be immediately crossed off their "Interior Architecture Guy" list ASAP! My husband and I prefer quiet sexy martini bars or martini bars with great Buddha Bar style music playing - but this place offers neither. MOP is a great place nonetheless and I'm sure, as time goes on, they will have some competition because we're hoping Nashua continues this upward trend of offering hot spots to hang with your peeps on a Friday night besides Martha's Exchange - boring!
