Just finished staying at the group site at Manchester State Park. Couldn't find a lot of reviews before hand so we weren't sure what to expect. Overall, really happy with the site and the trip. We had a group of about 16 people, with 7 tents, and 6 cars. Could have easily doubled those numbers for this site. The site has it's own outhouse (which is close, but far enough from the tents to avoid the odor), two faucets for water, a large fire pit, and large grill (bring your own grill grate as the grates are pretty nasty.) There's plenty of parking and plenty of flat ground for tents. There are trees bordering the west and north sides of the site, which provide good shelter from the wind, but not a lot of shade unless you venture into them. \r
The beach is a couple hundred yards away (easy walk) and was very nice and very large. It's a little tricky getting onto the beach as there's a cliff which varies in height to climb down. Some driftwood on the beach, but not too much. \r
The other camp sites are a good 1/4 to 1/2 mile away. There's a general store about a mile up the road as well as homes selling firewood. \r
The weather was great in September. Overall, would definitely go back to this site.
Pros: Close to the beach and secluded from other sites
Cons: No showers, not a lot of shade
