We came early for an event at the Bohemian Caverns last night because we thought we'd have dinner first upstairs at Mahogany.Waiter was great! Food was great! The music was ridiculous -- loud, driving, club kind of music (I guess that's what it was) in which the artists primarily yelled; no one in the fairly empty place seemed to be listening and certainly were not dancing. The website is misleading because jazz is the background music, suggesting that jazz is the music that would be playing in the restaurant. When we asked the waiter if the music could be changed(what seemed like a simple request), he tried to accommodate us but came back to tell us the manager said we had to ask him directly. Since he obviously was not in an accommodating mood, and we didn't want any confrontation(like, saying the jazz on the website is misleading or asking why there are pictures of great jazz musicians around but their music isn't being played, or just asking why his customers wishes could not be addressed without us having to go to him directly instead of through our waiter), we let it go, got out of there as soon as we could, and will never come back.
