We were back at Mac's last night. I had charbroiled shrimp with a baked potato; my wife had the southern fried catfish with baked potato. We also had an excellent Merlot and shared the world's best dessert [ the Goldbrick.
It's still noisy, even at 5:45 PM. I noticed that the tables appear to be closer together, possibly to add more capacity.
Service was excellent, as were the entrées. However, it's often the little things that make the meal. Mac's scrimps on butter for it's potatoes which, even at that early hour, appeared to be a bit over baked. They are also tight with the tartar sauce!
Take your ear plugs and enjoy the food.
