Ive been a member at Massage Envy for two years or so and this was the worst experience ever!! I called the Ballantyne office today to try to get a friend and I a massage. I left a detailed message stating what I wanted. When the customer service desk called back (Her name was Randi) I started telling her what I wanted she cut me off and said "I heard your voicemail can we just proceed with the appointment" I paused because of her tone. Thinking OK someone is having a bad day! Then she goes on to ask or say neither one of you guys have ever been to Massage Envy? I said " I thought you listened to my v-mail because in it I said I was a member. She replied with "well the message was broken up". OK then, well I'd like to have this and then she says I can set it up for this time and I'll need a credit card to hold the appointment. I told her to use mine and that they have on file. She says she can't because it is encrypted. I'm like what do you mean I've never had this problem before? Well it's for your protection. I tell her it's less protection when I'm having to give you my number over the phone! Then I tell her I'm at the gym and don't have access to my cards. She can't do it without a card. At this point I'm saying to myself damn I've got to walk home, then she interupts me and says "don't you cuss at me cause I'll hang up on you! I immediately say woah hold on I was not Cursing at you I was saying in general to myself that I would have to walk home from the gym to get my card! I was not cursing at you at all I was simply saying damn to myself about the walk home. She interrupts me again with don't raise your voice at me cause I won't have you talking to me like that! I say to her first of all again I was not cursing at you, second I'm a member and you can't talk to me like this, 3rd you can't be threatening to hang up under false pretense! She then or probably already had hung up on me! I'm Like WOW!! Did this just happen? I call back, she answers again, and say I do not wish to talk to you I want to speak to a Mgr. She's cutting off as I'm saying this and says again I will not have you talking to me like this and cussing at me and hangs up again!!!! I was polite and never got to say what I was calling to say. She clearly was trying to justify her actions by lying and speaking over me to make me angry thus allowing her to hang up! I go to the facility tp speak to the Mgr. and this girl named Randi. When I asked to speak to them I confirmed if she was the one who just hung up on me twice and instead of her trying to say our conversation didn't go well my apologies. I don't care just something to show some professionalism for the facility. NO!!! She says I'm calling security! OK cool lets do that, I'll wait for them. She never called because sh knew she was wrong and when she said this I had simply asked to speak to the manager, so she went to the mgrs. office and sat there. The other two ladies apologized after I apologized to them. Saying I apologize if I have made them uncomfortable or nervous because for whom ever is reading this I am not a small guy. I told them what happened and what she just proved was that she is terrible at customer service. I'm going to cancel my membership and this time make sure they cancel it! I just read the review about a membership not getting cancelled and wanted to say the exact same thing happened to me. I cancelled last year around August and come Dec. - Jan. I found that they were still billing me even though I came into the Arboretum office where I initially signed up and filled out all of the paper work to cancel. I kept my membership that day because I had about 12 massages that I had to use and would loose them all if I canceled at that point! What a ripp off Huh? Now after what happened today I regret it! I also have read other negative reviews elsewhere about Ballantyne and Blakeney ETC....and it seems like Corporate either doesn't see this or doesn't CARE!!!!!
