I must say, recently I drove to Crown Estates in Leavenworth KS to look for property. As any new home buyer should do, I knocked on neighborhood doors and introduced myself and began to ask questions about the Real Estate Agent, Dan Lynch. I was informed by several households several rather disturbing stories of home buyers in the neighborhood who have had and continue to have very serious problems in dealing with Dan Lynch. I spoke with one individual who explained to me she toured a spec home with Dan Lynch and his Builder, Paul Estes in the Crown Estates development. During this walk through, many items were explained to her as ""included and standard"" with this home. She explained she discussed a price and the next day went to Dan Lynch's office to sign a contract to build and subsequently purchase a home (built by Paul Estes). During this contract meeting, Mr. Lynch never disclosed to this person he was acting on behalf of the seller only. She showed me her documents where Mr. Lynch placed into the home contract all the items explained to her as ""standard"" or ""included"" in her home. Mr. Lynch listed these items at ""N/C"" no charge or ""standard."" She explained she signed the contract, gave Mr. Lynch her deposit for the home and two days later, she received an email from Mr. Lynch stating -""things did not go quite as he had planned"" and Dan Lynch further explained the items he originally included as standard and at N/C are now considered to be ""upgrades"" by the builder, Paul Estes and will cost her an additional $5,600 dollars. Secondly during her contract signing Dan Lynch provided her a detailed house plan indicating a 2300 finished square foot home. Later, this individual found out that the builder, Paul Estes submitted paperwork to City Hall indicating his intentions are to build a 2100 square foot home; not a 2300 square foot home. Lastly this individual explained she had agreed on a specific basement plan during a meeting with Dan Lynch, Paul Estes (builder) and her attorney and herself. Dan Lynch placed the change into the contractors change order, emailed this to this person and her attorney. This person noticed Dan Lynch left several other items out of the change order, which were to have been included. She asked for Dan Lynch to call her to discuss this, he never did. She left town for work and came home to inspect the property and found that the builder, Paul Estes had completely reconfigured her basement without informing her or advising her he was going to do this. He simply took it upon himself to completely change the plan from that which was agreed upon earlier. After speaking with several persons in Crown Estates, it is very well know Mr. Lynch has a rather disturbing reputation of taking advantage of people. In fact, he actually sold a home in Crown Estates to a military European couple that physically did not pass inspection until 4 months after they bought it. And, they did not even know this when the more
