Editorial review from Citysearch 10/17/2013

If I can't be with my children all day then the only other place I want them to be is at Luv-N-Care. When we moved in to our new house we found the Luv-N-Care daycare center just around the corner to be the perfect place for our son. Three years later our now five year old and two year old still attend with smiles on their faces. The caring staff make drop offs easy and my kids are learning so much! The PreK & Kinder programs offer TEKS based curriculum which I feel are preparing my child nicely. My two year old is signing, dancing, identifying colors and numbers, and is learning about sharing. This organization is truly child centered and it shows! more

There is a high turnover rate, which I believe says a lot about a place of business. Also, I didn't like the fact that there frequently was different teachers in my child's classroom. This to me does not help my child. There is no consistency and structure if there is a different teacher in the classroom.\r more

Luv n care 7/27/2010

We carefully researched childcare options in our area and found that Luv n Care had no violations with the state inspectors and had good reviews. We had our son here for over a year and had some great experiences with the staff in 2 different rooms, but struggled with the turnover of teachers in the other rooms. It is not comforting to see new faces when going to pick up or drop off your child. I think daycare facilities need to help parents transition when kids are moved from different rooms by giving them timely notice of the move, what to expect in the new room (like schedule, activities), and - most importantly, who works in the rooms that will be caring for your child. A handout would cover this. Childcare is the toughest job and not for everyone, but you have to think that the high turnover that the staff must be due to inadequate pay or lack of support/training. I think there are some wonderful and caring teachers at Luv N Care but they have issues with turnover. Pros: some great caregivers, clean Cons: High turnover of teachers more

Center and teachers are great, but staff let me down :( 6/5/2008

I tolerated my childs teacher and her hatefulness because I knew that we would be moving. My daughter ran up to hug her one day, and she ""growled"" at her saying in a very irritated tone ""What?"" ""What do you want?""... She continually told me that my four year old was lazy. Funny, she is not at home or at her new daycare. Hmmm. When I first enrolled her, I asked if it was a natural progression to graduate into the Pre-K class. I was told that it was. When she was of age for the Pre K program, I questioned one of the directors about why she was not in the Pre K class. They told me she was. I then noticed that another classroom was labeled Pre-K and had all kinds of artwork and projects outside the door. They told me it was the Kindergarten room. So why was it labeled Pre-K then? I questioned the staff about that, but again I was told my child was in the Pre K class. Later, we discovered she was the oldest one in her class. She had not been moved because the Pre K was full. My child had been going there for over two years...they enrolled new children in front of her. Now, it is the summer of her Kindergarten year, and my child knows nothing- doesn't even recognize letters of the alphabet. My child is smart and not some problem child or idiot I assure you. Shame on me for paying out the backside for a Learning Center rather than a ""daycare"" so that she would be taught the skills that she needed to know. I am very dissapointed because I really liked the staff and thought that they thought more of me and my child. I am a working Mom that wishes I had the time to teach her these things myself, but I just don't have that choice. That is why I paid for a Learning Center. My Mother went to watch a Fiesta parade put on by the school, and not knowing of the situation, asked why my child was in the ""baby class"". She got the same response, but when the records were pulled and the ages looked it was obvious that we were looked over. We never did get an apology or explanation. Pros: Clean environment, good infant staff, encouraged parent involvement. Cons: Negligence of student/ child needs, tuition hikes within a week of tuition due. more

Loving and clean environment 8/17/2007

My two boys went there. Out of 9 teachers, I loved all but 1 (who was probably just tired by the end of the day). One of my boys has behavioral challenges and they really worked with me on implementing a program to increase positive behavior and decrease negative. This is a very active center for parents who love to be involved with their child's school. Great curriculum, even for the young ones! Very clean and organized! NO complaints at all! Pros: Great clean enviroment, loving staff, lots of activities more

Great After School Program 12/7/2006

I enjoy all the things that are offered @ Love N Care. My daughter only says good things about their snacks & their attitudes. Many games are offered & the student - teacher ratio is low. more

Best Child Development Center in Texas! 10/24/2006

All three of my children went here and they were all way ahead in their first grade classrooms. The Cooke family is a wonderful family and the curriculum is wonderful.\r Pros: the teachers were very sweet and the curriculum really gets the children ahead for the first grade. Cons: really didn't have any. more

do you love your kids like I love mine? 10/24/2006

I can not express how much I adore the Luv-N-Care Child Development center. From the minute you walk in the door, you feel the amount of care and attention that will be given to your children. The staff is incredible and the programs that they have implemented have assured me that my children are going to grow up to be well rounded, loving, and secure individuals. It is always difficult to leave my children in the mornings, but I breathe a little easier knowing that they are going to be at Luv-N-Care. They always come home with great stories about their adventurous days that they have and they are generally happier kids now that they are there. Thank God that I found this place. Pros: everything about the place screams dedication to your children Cons: nothing that I can think of more
