Laid back, but somewhat campy atmosphere. Nice place for a girls' nite. The walls are black, the floor is leopard print, and the accents are dog related.
Wait staff will give you honest recommendations, and don't seem to mind guests who came in for a more European paced dinner. On the other hand, the times I've been there and been in a bit more of a hurry, they've been good about bringing the check with the meal when asked. The crab cakes, poodle chicken, pulled pork sandwich, Kobe burgers and meatloaf top my list of things to try there. Something to keep in mind: the poodle chicken is a house favorite, but is a somewhat small portion if you're very hungry. The food is dependably yummy, but it doesn't knock my socks off. The pineapple martini was quite good, the bartender was friendly.
Frankly, the decor alone was good enough reason to try this restaurant the first time around. It definitely makes you feel as though you're somewhere other than Ohio.
