Terrible!!! Avoid this restaurant!!! 2/19/2011

I am not a complainer and this is the first restaurant I've ever reviewed but I felt that others should be warned. The ""filet mignot"" was a pathetic, cold, grissely piece of meat. When I complained they acted like I was the problem. They said ""you already ate most of it"" when I had only had two or three bites. They obviously don't know what a filet is supposed to look like or taste like. Only after too much exhausting conversation did they offer to cook me ANOTHER one. Since I didn't trust that the second would be any different based on what they said, I declined and just decided to never set foot in there again and to make sure my friends knew. more

best of the best <3 7/25/2010

I live far from Luigi's but i would be more then happy to drive over there any day. We took my dad for his birthday and we had the best time there. Everybody is super sweet and genuine friendly. I have to say that the margaritas where the best! If you ever go you must try them. That night we had pizza and by far the best i have ever had. The price is also a great thing we all had dinner for around 50 buck. That feed a family of six. I give Luigi's five stars. Pros: we got are food fast Cons: nothing really more

Love Luigi's & tell Miguel that Kory sent you. 10/22/2009

I've been there many times and had our wedding dinner banquet there. The food is great, Miguel is an awesome guy and always takes care of me. These guys are like family once you get to know them. Love the pizza and get take out very often. Highly recommend doing banquets but they fill up quickly around the holidays. I wished they still had live music more like they do from time to time but it just reminds me of a quaint romantic neighborhood Italian restaurant and that's what it is. Enjoy and look up Miguel and tell him I said to take good care of you. Pros: Great Pizza, good prices, quaint place Cons: Some inconsistency but on whole is good more

Great Place! 8/15/2009

My boyfriend and I just visited Luigi's tonight. This was our 1st visit and we just fell in love with the place. The waitstaff is very attentive and so friendly. My boyfriend had the seafood combo which had pasta, scallops, lobster tails, shrimp, mussels. He was very satisfied with his meal. I had lasagna and it was delightful. We will definitely be coming back. Pros: Great atmosphere Cons: nothing more

really good genuine Italian 7/3/2009

Stopped by for something different this evening and the pasta was fabulous! The chicken piccata and the canoli more than made up for the questionable salad and the previuously mentioned ceiling tiles. Pros: great canoli Cons: stripmall atmosphere more

Not very good food for the price 5/29/2008

We ate there last night and it was terrible. I have never had such a bad salad. It was simply lettuce, tomato and a few slivers of carrots with watered down salad dressing. The cream sause on the pasta had a funny after taste (like the salad dresing). It seemed to also be watered down. I thought it might be me, so I tasted others salad dressings and entrees. The tomato suase on my food was also watered down. The waitstaff was nice, slow but nice. It will be my fisrt and last visit to Luigi's. I am Italian and from New York, this is not good Italian food. Pros: nice waitstaff, location Cons: food, ambience, service more

The Best and Most Friendly Restaurant Ever! 1/27/2008

Luigi's is a great place for pizza and pasta and also calmari! The pizza tastes just like New York and New Jersey pizza! I am from New Jersey and it reminds me of home. If you want the best pizza in all of Texas. Try Luigi's Ristorante & Pizzeria. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

This restuarant needs to be sold to somebody who knows how to run a restuarant! Need to do something different! more

Best Italian food on the North West side of Houston 7/28/2006

This is the picturesque italian restaurant from the neighborhood. It is a great place for romantic ambiance and delicious food. The alfredo sauce is out of this world good! They have a awesome selection of medditerian wines. If youlike Italian food, are in the area, then this is a can't miss type of place. Pros: good parking, great ambience, great service more

Are we talking about the same restaurant? 6/16/2006

We could not possibly be talking about the same place. I guess things have really gone down hill in the 3 years since the last review. Pros: None, not one... Cons: Food, service, ambience more

Great Place 2/4/2003

I have been going to Luigi's since they were on Antoine (1986 or so) I followed them to Jones road and then here. The food is great. They have some issues with the waitstaff, but go for the food. Ask what they have fresh to get items that are not on the menu. It will always be ""real Italian"" not just the commercial stuff. I have not had a bad meal there. Pros: Food Cons: Service more

Best Italian Food in North West Houston 1/8/2003

Luigis looks very expensive, but it is not. The sauces are rich and spiced perfectly. Salvadore makes them himself, as he also does his great salad dressings. This is a dining experience that you do not want to miss out on. Italiana music is played and the wines are good Italiana and Siciliana imports that are full bodied and delightful. Pros: inexpensive, family owned, clean Cons: sometimes crowded more

Redfish Siciliana just like Home!! 11/16/2002

The is a nice new (one year old) building that Salvadore has- clean, very Italian! Everything on the menu is great! The prices are not high, and the food quality is unparalleled. The Ciciarella Family all work at the restaurant - Salvadore, Angelo, Giovanna, and Francheca. Luigi's has been in Houston since 1983 at three different locations. If you like authentic Italian food, then this is the place to go. Pros: Great Food, Clean, Italian Speaking Cons: hard to find, limited parking more

This authentic Italian restaurant has great food. The eggplant is fabulous always. The seafood Specials that are featured are always cooked to perfection, and plenty of food. If you like New york style pizza, this is THE place to go in Houston. The black mussels are big, meaty, and have a sauce poured over them to kill for. The service is usually good now, although in the past there have been some problems. If you are looking for Italian desserts - cannoli's or terramasu - you have just found what you are looking for. Sal, the owner and head chef makes the best you have ever eaten. Pros: inexpensive, close to 249 freeway, clean and neat Cons: hard to find parking, sometimes loud more
