i got the livingsocial deal for this and i'm so glad i did because i would not have known about it otherwise. she did such a great smooth job on my brazilian and it was not as painful as it had been when i went to other places. i had a really good conversation with her so that made my experience even more enjoyable. i would definitely go again even though it's a little out of the way for me. more

Out of all the salons(mainly nails and hair salons) I've been to for a brazillian wax, she is one of a kind. Unlike most honey-like, green/tan substances that are used, hers is SO unique. Think putty-like. Its a very hygenic waxing experience because she doesn't use any cloth to wax off the area. The substance stiffens up on its own so it can be pulled off like tape. You cannot believe how fascinating it is. MUST try! more

I have been a client of Lucia's for about 8 years and she is the BEST!! I just returned from a year and a half long trip and was anxious to get back to Lucia. NO ONE COMPARES!! The quality of her work is impeccable as well as her products! I feel like I am safe in her hands. Good pricing, thorough, knowledgeable, wax less sticky than the other places yet more effective, skin less traumatized, has only been a few days so don't know yet how it fairs on regrowth rate and ingrown hairs but good so far. more

I've shopped around and tried the high end SF salon and then the chain wax centers and I come away dissatified with the results from a regrowth and pain perspective. Her level of customer service is amazing, she followed up by email after my last visit. No more straying Lucia's is the spot for the best Brazillian ever. If that isn't enough reason to pick her she also has the most flexible hours and her salon is a women and minority owned/run establishment. more

I had the brazilian done at Lucia's, which i haven't done in a while, so i was quite nervous about the pain. I felt at ease and comfortable in Lucia's capable hands! She talked me through it and gave me some great tips on when the best time would be to come back so as to minimize the pain. I think i've finally found my go-to person for my waxes! Yay! Both my girlfriend and I prefer when I am trimmed and neatly groomed below the belt. But, shaving had become tiresome so I decided to try waxing. While I was very nervous Lucia not only got me through it with much less pain that I was expecting she also made me much more comfortable than I expected considering. Also, her advice for post waxing care were spot on as only two days removed from my waxing I have loved my results and will continue to see her rather than shaving. more

I was recommended by two of my girlfriends, who have been going to Lucia for sometime now. I have been going to waxing salons and although I do like the pampering, music and all together feel of going to a salon, you pay more for that and often times the job isn't done right. I got a brazillian wax from Lucia, she was quick, friendly and made me laugh. I loved that she used strickly hard wax on my entire vagina!! I will definitely be coming back. more

Perfecting waxing experience 7/30/2011

Well I went to Lucia reading yelp reviews for the first time and I am amazed because I have been going to wax salons for several years but I have never experienced such painless hair removal. My hair is really nasty and thick and she took around 30 mins to do my leg wax and it came out pretty well. She has been doing this for long and her technique is perfect. I would suggest that even the first timers and people with less pain threshold can go to Lucia more

I recently got an extended brazilian wax at Lucia's, and it was AMAZING. It was my first experience with hard wax and the painful part I was waiting for NEVER CAME. Amazing. For those who have never used hard wax either, it's hotter than the other kind when they apply it (just so you're prepared). Also the position for waxing in back was also way more comfortable than with my previous esthetician (you're on your side). And it's done in 30 minutes! Will definitely be returning for my next wax! more
