What a nightmare!! 10/9/2011

Went to purchase a car with a trade in and the only thing they successfully managed to do was waste time. An hour to appraise the car, which magically was returned with a HUGE problem that was not present until they had the keys and 'checked it out' for an HOUR. Thinking I had gone outside, two of the dealers actually started LOUDLY talking trash about my family, and I had to yell at them that I could hear them. Then I was informed by the trash talker that I heard them 'wrong' even after I restated the nasty comment that was made by him. Unprofessional, rude, and SLOOOOOOW. So that is why we were the only customers in that trash hole... PATHETIC!!! more

lou lariche lies about all alternatives available 3/24/2011

I had my car towed to Lou LaRiche in Plymouth MI. There was a problem with my push rod. They told me that my choices were.. (1) a new engine for approx. $4500.00, (2) a re-built with a small warranty of like 1 yr. and (3) used engine with like a 90 day warranty. What they didnt tell me is that the engine did not have to be replaced!!! Instead after I heard the prices decided to get a second opion, Well the total cost to fix the engine I had was $380.00!!! I get that my engine is old... but... they never told me that it could be fixed, but not by them, because the service manager "BURT" said we dont do work that cant be warrantied. So if I understand this correctly, they wont work on cars that have higher mileage without replacing the whole engine. Only the other mechanic shops will do that kind of work. Well Im not made of money and the temperary fix will be fine with me.. but not an option at Lou LaRiche!! IF YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF GO HERE!! more

I got ripped off and lied to. 6/2/2008

I purchased a used 2003 Ford Taurus from the used care department of LaRiche Chevrolet. It came highly recommended by the used car salesman. I was told it had new brakes, 2 new tires, new ball joints. The car only had 46000 miles on it so what could be wrong?? The first day I had it on my own, the front end wobbled. I asked the saleman if they had balanced the new tires. I brought it back to service, lost the car for the whole day, and when I got it back it was still in the same condition. The next time I took it back they actually had me take it to a tire dealer to have them balance them. It was good for the first day, but now my brakes were pulsating as well. I took it back in (third time, mind you) and was told that the rotors were bad, and was told they put NEW rotors on the car. Well, this time when I took it home there was this horrible grinding noise when I applied the brakes. I took it back in (4th time). I was told the pads they used when they put "new brakes" on the car were the cheapest ones on the market and they weren't even recommended for that car, and if I wanted the right ones I HAD TO PAY. WHAT???? After telling them no way and getting my poor father involved, they decided to put the correct ones on at no cost. (5th visit) The service advisor and I took the car on the highway and it seemed like the problem was fixed. Well, two days later the problem was back. This time I figured I was going somewhere else. Guess what?? The rotors they told me they replaced WERE NOT REPLACED and they were warping when the brakes got hot. I fixed the problem myself. I spoke to a lemon law attorney but they said I didn't have much of a case. So, do yourself and your loved ones a favor and PASS THIS DEALER UP!! KEEP DRIVING!! DO NOT STOP!!! Pros: The Service Advisor was kind. Cons: They could not take care of a problem vehicle they sold me. more

Very pleased! 10/10/2005

I purchased a 2000 Impala brand new from Lou Lariche. When I have had to take it in for repairs, they have a shuttle service that will take you home and pick you up (no more begging for rides!) while your car is being fixed. I will continue to purchase from them, have always been satisfied! more
