The Los Angeles Natural History Museum has wonderful exhibits that both adults and children will love. The dinosaur exhibit was very interesting. There were a couple of exhibits that displayed preserved (very well I might add) strange looking fish, kind of gross actually.
There is a great children's area where there is live animal presentation through out the day. Kids can interact with many of the animal exhibits including snake skins, animal furs and fossils. Upstairs there is a bug exhibit with every type of bug imaginable like spiders, scorpions, beetles, roaches, ants, etc.
The price is very reasonable and the museum itself is very nice. The gift shop is pretty small and there wasn't too much of interest in there. Mostly everything you could find at a toy or jewelry store.
