Lorenzo Pizza

Lorenzo's Pizza at the Italian Market makes the best cheese steaks and pizza we have ever tasted! The crust on the pizza is thin and crisp and done just right. The cheese steaks are loaded with the most tender steak on a delicious roll, and if you top it off with cheese and fried onions you'll be in heaven. For all those Philadelphians trudging to Geno's and Pat's you are soooo mistaken. You can't compare the quality of their steaks to Lorenzo's and the price is so much cheaper too. There are signs all over the shop saying Lorenzo's won best cheese steak in Philadelphia Magazine beating out Pat's and Geno's and they also won best pizza from Philadelphia Magazine. They have awards hung up from City Guide also so don't just take my word for it. If you don't have time to stay and eat, order one of their stromboli's to go. As an arrogant New Yorker, I have to say thank you to Lorenzo's for actually making a damn good slice. It's the only pizza that I'll eat in the entire city. more

I have lived in South Philly a long time and i must say that this place pizza place has been around the longest and is still the best i have ever been to. We visited Philadelphia recently, and this was a recommendation from a family member who had recently been there. The recommendation was spot on, we loved the cheesesteaks here! Perfectly cooked to order, good bread, they were delicious. We also tried their onion rings, which were also really good. The pizza looked really tasty, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to make it back to try it. The atmosphere is extrmely casual, the service is about what you'd expect - friendly, but abrupt and down-to-business. Definitely will eat here again on our next trip to Philly. Lorenzo's pizza is to die for. Thin crisp crust, boardwalk style pizza. Their cheese steaks are incredible too. They melt in your mouth and are on a delicious roll. They have signs up in the shop that they won Best of Philly Pizza and Best of Philly Cheese Steak and one visit and you'll know why. I HIGHLY recommend this place. more

Nice thin crusts on the bottom and luscious thick crust around the edge. Perfect seasoning - it is the best pizza ever made! more
