Wrong snapple. If that was it, I'd be happy. The leaves of my salad were brown, the portabello mushrooms were dry and tasted horrific, their was a grand total of about 10 croutons and a pinch of onions in the whole salad. It was inedible. The ONLY upside was the dressing, which I must admit was quite tasty. more

Delicious way to loose weight! 9/17/2006

The ingredients are MUCH fresher than any other salad joint and the dressings are fabulous not to mention different! I lost 5 pounds in only a few weeks by eating at this place for lunch 2-3x per week. HIGHLY recommended and a must if you work downtown!!! Pros: Food, food, food Cons: Needs more locations more

WOW! 9/15/2006

Loose Leaf has achieved something that doesnt come around a lot. Style, taste, and good service. What impresses me so much about their company, aside from the mouthwatering food and speedy, efficient, and friendly service, is the care that went into the menu development. I mean, there are items available I have never even thought of, and on top of that, it is concise, easy to follow, and AFFORDABLE! What a great place! Pros: Flavor, Food, Service Cons: Parking more

Custom Built Salads = Custom Built Pleasure 9/12/2006

Finally, a great salad joint in LA! Loose Leaf does salads (and wraps) like The Counter does hamburgers.... fresh ingredients, limitless options, hip atmoshpere, great service - keeps me coming back for more and more. The fact that it's healthy doesn't hurt either. After a dozen visits, I have yet to order the same thing twice. The customizable menu has literally unlimited options! The ingredients and dressing are top-notch and gourmet, unlike the same-old same-old at Ralphs and Whole Foods. If you live or work in downtown, it'll become your go-to stop for a light lunch or dinner. Pros: Food, Options, Service Cons: Parking more

Beautiful Salads 9/12/2006

King of Salads 9/11/2006

I found Loose Leaf by accident while roaming Downtown LA. Anyone who lives in LA knows that new restaurants, all boasting new cuisine, pop up all the time. When my friend recommended Loose Leaf to me I figured itd be like any other sandwich shop or salad bar. I couldnt have been more wrong. You wont find a menu this creative in any other place in LA. With a build your own salad or wrap section, itd take a lifetime to try everything on the menu. Besides the variety, the menu is filled with interesting additions such as soy beans and dried fruit. more

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! 9/9/2006

This restaurant is my absolute favorite place to eat downtown! I am addicted. The ingredients are super fresh. I usually eat there every day on my lunch break because the menu is fabulous, the service is fast and also unbelievably conveinient. I am even guilty of stopping by for dinner before I cruise home (yes, that would be twice in one day). Finally, healthy food that tastes de-lish! I just need one in West Hollywood so I never have to buy groceries again. Seriously, you need to check it out ASAP! more

Great new lunch (and dinner) option downtown! 9/7/2006

In addition to having tons of great salad options already on the menu, you can pick from a variety of items (veggies, cheeses, chicken, etc.) to make your own salad. Everything is delicious and fresh. I wish Loose Leaf was open when I worked downtown!!! more

Best Salad Ever! 9/7/2006

Loose Leaf is awesome! They have every salad topping you can think of and so many creative dressings. I choose to ""build my own"" even though they have over ten ""designed"" salads that look amazing. The chicken is all white meat chicken wierd pieces or bones or anything. The cucumber mint dressing is unbelievable and totally non fat, which is perfect for me and my crazy dieting. more

Best salad in Los Angeles 9/6/2006

It's the best salad in Los Angeles by far. All the ingredients are so fresh, the service is impeccable and it's a great deal. I highly recommend it for businesses in downtown and anyone who is going to be down there. Pros: service, ingredients, lettuce Cons: it's downtown so it can be hard to get to if you live on the westside more

Custom Salads Yield Happy Customer 9/6/2006

I've lived in L.A. for almost seven years and it is a relief to know that these proprietors have finally chosen to step up and meet the demand for a custom-built salad with all the fixins that you just can't find anywhere else. You can choose from their original menu (I recommend the cheeseburger) or get creative and build your own, either won't be disappointed. I was impressed with the service and let us not forget about the all-important ingredients, which are second to none. The concept is so simple it's actually genius. And it's important to note that, unlike your typical salad bar, Loose Leaf is the real deal with a selection of dressings that rival the finest sommelier's wine collection. Pros: food and ambience Cons: parking more

Best salads and wraps in L.A. 9/6/2006

Mutliple options for salads, best meats, dressings, and lettuce, very quick in and out. Best place to eat downtown, especially if you're staying at the Standard hotel or work anywhere near 6th and Hope. more
