I brought in a shirt that had never been worn, but was wrinkled and I wanted pressed to Lonnie's Cleaners in Taylorsville, UT. The shirt was not ready when promised and I ended up pre-paying because there were other items that were ready to be picked up. My husband returned the following day to pick up this one item (the shirt) and did not notice that there were multiple places on the shirt where piping had been ripped and was hanging in strings off the shirt. The shirt went from never worn to never can be worn.\r
The following day I returned to Lonnie's Cleaners in Taylorsville, UT, and spoke with the manager. Her position was that it was not their cleaning service that was responsible for the damage, but instead the shirt in question was poorly manufactured. I then asked why they proceeded to clean it or even accept it if it was so poorly made. I was told that they handle hundreds of shirts and that they cannot be responsible for inspecting the shirts they accept. When pressed, the manager offered to refund the money for the cleaning on the shirt and then did not follow through. I was told that I should send the shirt back to the manufacturer and that it was not their problem if it was inconvenient to do so. I asked if they had a contract/agreement that I may have signed which would render them harmless for the damage done to the shirt. She did not have any such agreement. \r
I explained that this was unacceptable. We regularly used their service and will no longer be doing so. It would have been easy to work with me to find a reasonable solution, i.e. refund the cost of the cleaning, two trips to their establishment, and/or paid to replace the damaged shirt. I would have been happy with even a portion of the cost being refunded. The manager chose not even to pretend to work with me. What a nightmare! I look forward to utilizing a cleaning service that respects my time, my money and my property\r
Cons: Destructive, Unreasonable with HORRID customer service, Anywhere else is a better bet!
