Lone Star Glass

I was charged $325 for what ended up being about an hour and 10 min worth of labor. I was not impressed with the office either - I had to call twice to get an estimate about a week and a half after they came for measurements. Also had to schedule the work twice and I'm still missing some paperwork. I wish I could give less than one star. Pros: null Cons: null more

I got good customer service from the very first time I called Lone Star Glass. I needed a shower door. The girls who work up front are very helpful. They answer all your questions and if they dont know the answer to something, they will find out and get right back to you. I asked about a shower door hinge (range of motion) and they found out the answer right away. The prices are reasonable especially for the service. I needed a shower enclosure. They scheduled me for the very next day, and called me when they said they would call, 30 minutes ahead of time. I was surprised when I got the estimate back so fast. The installer did a very good job. more

I called in to check on pricing for a replacement for my car windshield. I told them i was leaving out of town that night and needed it done quickly. they gave me the price said it could be done that day. I dropped off my car and it was done by the time I finished lunch. It was a great experience they valued my time and provided great customer service! Thank you Lonestar they will handle all my glass needs! more

I scheduled 2 days in advance for an AM appointment to replace 4 cracked windows. I wasted my day from work to wait until 1 pm. I called to ask ETA a couple times and recieved no return call. I finally cancelled because they are ridiculous. I work for one of the largest property mangement companies in Houston and they are not only getting a blog but I will share my thoughts with everyone in the industry! more

I had a great experience doing business with LSG. Their customer service was by far the best I've dealt with and their knowledge was quite extensive. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future! more

lone star glass did several of my artwork framings and they replaced some windows in my house. The windows were special ordered and were installed on time. I was happy with the installer, becasue he was friendly, the price is just right for the great quality work they do. more

When replacing the glass in my window, the installer tore my screen. They said they would repair the screen. I have called and gone by but my screen is no where to be found. more

Please ignore ash's remark/comment for he has no manners at all for leaving a horrible review about the company since he dropped out of high school and lacks common knowledge about glass and has no degree what so ever he's probably is from Germany and salutes Adolf Hitler and thinks the blond hair and and blue eyes is the superior race in the entire galaxy and thinks all other races that aren't German is inferior and should be trash and dirt! more

I had no problem with LSG. They were courteous, the lead man seemed very knowledgeable and he was very courteous. They showed up on time and even cleaned up before they left. I would definitely use them again. Pros: Great job Cons: None more

Lone Star Glass is HORRIBLE at customer service!! They don't know how to call you when they say they will and aren't very helpful when you finally get a hold of someone. They don't tell you everything you need to know about getting a window replaced until the VERY last minute. They have NEVER kept an appointment and are ALWAYS late! I even had to wait around for a whole day and then a half of the next day because they can't look at a watch or care to call a customer!! And when the window was actually ready (a WEEK later) I again had to wait on them for over 3.5 hours (they told me between 9a-11a but didn't show up till after 11:30 and I had to call THEM to find out where they were!! So much for calling 30 minutes before they show up!) for them just to arrive and another 1 for the instillation. The ONE & ONLY positive thing I can say is, the installation guy was nice and at least he did a good job. Long story short - if time is valuable to you (like it is to everyone I know) then Lone Star Glass is NOT the company to do business with!! Oh and they aren't exactly a bargain - price wise - it was quite expensive! more

I recently use Lone Star when I had my bathroom remodeled. They came out at the beginning of the remodel and met with me to helped me design the shower enclosure. This was before the tile was set. They coordinated with my contractor on specifications. They came back out and remeasured when the tile was completed. They gave me a date on the install and were here to install on that date. They gave me a window of time for being at my house to install and they showed up within that time frame. I love my new shower. It looks beautiful. I have recommended them to everyone who asks. We've been using Lone Star Glass for a number of years for windshield repair, maybe a half dozen times always happy with that service. Most recently did a special order, a custom glass piece with bevels for a table top. Lone Star Glass did neglect to call me when ready, but the piece was ready when I called. And I do believe the charge was several dollars lower than I had been quoted on the phone. This business has been around for 34 years at the 3804 Bissonnet location, has expanded to several new locations too -- you have to be mostly good quality to stay in business that long I think. If you are willing to use a little give-and-take with these people I think you will be satisfied with their service. more

Lone Star glass is not a compenay I would recommend to an enemy. I had a custom glass replacement and I've had to call them to follow up on it's completion (they said 7-10 days, it was longer) and on the day of installation, they were over 3.5 hours late. It required that I get upset with them to get them to even do the install on the day it was scheduled. Piss poor service....I'll never do business with them again. Cons: Service, Scheduling more
