Editorial review from Citysearch 9/3/2013

The most AMAZINGLY HORRIBLE and insulting customer service I ever have experienced. I was at the Gateway Mall, Sept 1st, Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. Two teenage girls were standing motionless at the cash register, with sour looks on their faces. No greeting. I walked around for about 5 minutes, still no greeting. I even made eye contact and smiled. They stared right back at me, looking bored and angry. What an insult. I would never buy anything here. Walked out without even trying anything on. Looking at the rest of the reviews, I see I am in good company. more

Pitiful Customer Service 2/19/2012

Looking at these reviews, which date back to 2009 (3 years!), it's clear that the management at Lola Bella isn't concerned with making a positive change to their absolutely pitiful sales staff. I usually pop my head into the store whenever I go to the Gateway just to see what they have, and every time I'm reminded of how little these girls/women care about helping customers. Recently I tried on jeans at JMR, and when the sales woman mentioned that Lola Bella was their sister store, I figured I'd check out their jean selection as well. The contrast in service between the two stores was astounding. The JMR sales women were as nice as they could me, pulled a bunch of jeans that matched the kind of fit I was looking for, then stuck around to get me alternate sizes and give me helpful feedback on fit. They ended up selling me on 2 great pairs of jeans when I was only in the market for one. On the other hand, when I went in to Lola Bella, I had to practically butt in to the sales girls' conversation after they refused to acknowledge that I was there. When I asked for help with jeans, they looked at each other as if to say, ""not me."" One of them did pull some jeans for me that matched what I was looking for, but after that, they were gone...could care less whether I needed anything else, or if I even bought anything. I mean seriously, Lola Bella, hire people who care at least a little bit, and then train them to be helpful (or at the very least, nice). You would sell a lot more product if you did. more

Wouldn't Shop Here Again, EVER 5/13/2011

Seriously? This ""boutique"" is a joke. They have Toms. They have jeans. They have wallets. They have the most HORRENDOUS customer service in the West. The high school rejects that work there are the most pretentious girls to ever work retail. Do you want a size of shoe? Well, you have to go to the counter, break up their gossip fireside, and beg them to get it for you. Dressing room? Maybe if you're famous. It's apparently asking too much to get human decency out of the staff. DO NOT waste your money here. There are so many other places to shop. LATEST EXAMPLE: Most recently, my 18 month old daughter and I went in to get her a pair of baby Toms, because Nordstrom didn't have the color we wanted. Biggest mistake as a consumer. While we were looking, I let my daughter out of her stroller, so we could try on the shoes. While we were waiting (forever) for the clerk to come back, my little one grabbed some flip-flops off the bench and dropped them on the ground. Cheap, boring flipflops. A short haired brunette twit ran over (fastest I've ever seen any staff in that place move) and yelled, ""Oh My GOD! We can't have her doing that to the merchandise! What is she doing!?!?!?!?"" Seriously? Let's have a discussion about proportionate response. She made us feel totally unwelcome, and between her rolling her eyes, and sighing so the store next door could hear, I was mortified. Not at my daughter's behavior, but at her reaction. Needless to say, NEVER AGAIN. Don't waste your time or money there. Nothing is worth being treated like second class to these girls. more

what happened? 5/10/2011

LolaBella Boutique has always been a fun and stylish boutique in my mind, I actually used to work there and absolutely loved it, but since moving back to Utah a few years later have come to find out that the quality of this boutique has gone way down. the customer service is HORRIBLE, and while the price ranges have lowered some, you will still be spending enough money there to be treated alot better than the associates treat you.\r I visited the location at the gateway to purchase a specific item they had in stock, but upon entering the store the girls working there were drapped across the counters chatting with one another and hardly gave the door a glance when customers would enter. I am not usually the type to complain or care but these girls were so rude I could not bring myself to give them any business.\r If I keep having experiences like that one I don't think I will be shopping at LolaBella again anytime soon. more

Awesome merchandize and customer service 11/4/2009

I was looking for a pair of these specific Ugg boots, my wife could not find them anywhere else, including Nordstrom. We were able to find them at Lolabella Boutique, located at the Gateway, sale associate was so awesome, she was able to transfer the right size and we came bought them. We were thrilled. Thanks Lolabella! Pros: best shopping experience more

Extrememly Poor Customer Service 1/7/2009

I don?t think I?ve ever received such poor customer service and been treated as unreasonably as I did at the Lolabella Boutique in Fashion Place Mall. After being told by a sales associate via phone that I could return an item I received for Christmas, I went into the store the next day and the two sales girls (Maddie and McKenzie) refused to honor the return. I was discontent with the way the two girls were handling the situation and asked to phone their store manager. Quite surprisingly, upon speaking to Kristen (manager) I found her to be just as unpleasant and unreasonable. She refused to accept the return nor offer store credit, even though the item was in new condition and I had my receipt. Poor conduct like this leads me to believe this is a primary reason that Lolabella is struggling to keep their doors open. I would advise all to shop at retailers like Nordstrom instead of this boutique. Nordstrom offers the same products and treats you as a respectable person. more

So Frustrating! 1/9/2007

This store offers high priced items and no customer service. The sales persons hang around talking personal stuff while their customers are trying to catch their attention. I stood right in front of them waiting for someone to help me and finally walked out. more

Bad Place to Shop (same company as JMR -- also bad!) 1/9/2007

I don' t know why employees that work at stores with expensive things feel like they can be rude and snotty, but Lola Bella and JMR really fit this bill. It seems to me that if your clients are spending a lot of money, they could afford to be nice to you or even acknowledge you, but that is certainly not the case.\r \r Good luck getting any help at Lola Bella -- the only thing you will get is impatience and eye rolling and people that make you feel like you shouldn't belong at their store. \r \r If you want to buy nice clothing, and have people help you, go to Nordstrom. They go out of their way and smile at you, will help you return things or send them to you if your size is out, and you can even get your clothing tailored.\r \r Bottom Line: Lola Bella is a snotty place, with bad customer service, and expensive stuff that you can't return if you change your mind. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Cons: Over priced, snotty, bad selection more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE 1/8/2007

DO NOT SHOP HERE! I have shopped at many boutiques in NY and LA and they always have good customer service but NOT AT LOLA BELLA. You won't be able to return ANYTHING, even if you just bought it. They are trying to be a ""real boutique"" but they are nothing but a snotty store with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unless you want to deal with people that make your transaction difficult, don't go to Lola Bella Cons: bad customer service, incompetent employees, rude, rude, rude more
