The best chinese food in Atlanta. I have been eating here for over 15 years and would never think to eat elsewhere! Every dish is made with love by the owner/chef. The green beans...

The food is decent chinese, more authentic then most places, but the service is terrible. Pros: food Cons: service

Very disappoint that I ordered Chicken Fried Rice for over $9 and all that was in it was Chicken, Rice, and a few pieces of egg! No peas, carrots, or onions. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 1/22/2014

This was really bad. The chicken seemed less fresh. The fried rice was too oily, and the egg drop soup wasn't really soup. My friends all complained to me about this order. more

My family has been eating at Little Szechuan for the past 10 years and we still can't get enough of it. My oldest son, now 7, learned to eat vegetables there. The food is the highest quality and prepared perfectly. The staff is always friendly and the owner is one of the kindest persons we've ever met. This place we believe is still a hidden secret yet we see most everyone from CDC eats there. Among our favorites are the fish and shrimp in ginger sauce, sesame chicken, stir fried green beans and orange beef. Everything on their menu is just DELICIOUS and reasonably priced! more

terrible experience xmas day! no food after almost 2 hrs! no explanation, no apology. We got up and left as did about 12 other tables. We asked to speak with a mgr , and there wasn't one. Horrible, and reviews are marginal at best! more

The best chinese food in Atlanta. I have been eating here for over 15 years and would never think to eat elsewhere! Every dish is made with love by the owner/chef. The green beans are a must. Portions are huge! You will not be hungry an hour after eating! more

Don't waste your money 5/11/2012

Hands down, the worst meal we've ever had at a Chinese restaurant. We've eaten here before and, while not the best, wasn't anything close to our meal tonight. Fried pot stickers were undercooked, greasy, and absolutely disgusting - we each had one and left the rest on the platter. Egg Rolls were only edible because we dipped them in hot mustard. Mongolian Beef was absolutely tasteless and the General Tso's Chicken only marginally better. We started laughing when the waitress asked if we wanted our leftovers (which were substantial) boxed to go. The best part was when she wanted us to pay cash because we'd used a coupon. What? When I told her I had no cash, she turned to my wife and asked ""How 'bout you?"" I now see why this restaurant is showing up on all the deal sites.. They are dying a slow death because their food is so bad. more

Outstanding and authentic Chinese restaurant 3/10/2012

I visited this restaurant last week and found it to be outstanding. The food is very good and, I beleive much more authentic than many Chinese places in the U.S. The prices were reasonable and all three dishes we tried were really good - in particular the stir fried string beans. more

Don't bother going here. 5/3/2010

A few years ago, this place was okay and the food was good. Now...the front door looks like it has never been cleaned with windex. The floors are disgusting, the tables were sticky and the bathrooms were the worst I have ever seen in Atlanta (including bars). The service was just as bad. Three women with no idea of how to service customers. We waited 10 minutes before we flagged someone down for menus. The only thing that was good was the soup. The fried tofu was over fried and the house fried rice was mushy with too much soy sauce. We also ordered some chicken and ginger dish. We will never go there again. I tried to give no stars, but the system forced me to give at least one. Pros: the soup Cons: This is one of the dirtiest restaurants in Atlanta more

This has to be the best chinese food in ATL. I've tried many other restaurants, but this is hands down my favorite. The ingredients are fresh and they have generous portion sizes. The food definitely stands out among all of the generic chinese places! The atmosphere is a little ""80's retro"" with pink and black decor, however you hardly notice this once you eat the food. The last time we dined here it was packed....and there was a long line of people waiting to sit down, which says a lot since there are so many other food choices in ATL. When the majority of the people dining at a chinese restaurant are actually chinese, this tells you that it MUST be good and authentic!!! Pros: Food, Service, Portion sizes, Quality and freshness Cons: Ambience is 80's retro more

AMAZING! 12/30/2008

""BEST"" Beef Noodle Soup we ever had, can't find this in NJ. Spicy Chicken w/black bean sauce outstanding. Glad Michael took us there, ""THANK YOU"" Kong! more

The best Chinese food I've found in Atlanta 12/8/2008

You should try this restaurant! My wife and I average 4-5 visits a month to Little Szechuan. Although I can't speak to it's Szechuan (or sichuan) authenticity, it's without doubt the best Chinese food I've found here in Atlanta. We've been going to LS for 12 years now. The food's always been top notch and we've always had excellent service (I will admit that there can sometimes be a bit of a language barrier with new wait staff, but they've always bent over backwards for us service wise). That's part of it's charm in my opinion. Pros: Food is fantastic! Cons: Ambience isn't so great. more

Umm, this was a chinese restaurant? 8/9/2008

When we walked in, no one greeted us so we wandered toward a table but it was dirty. Finally someone said, ""sit here."" Then for about 8 min, no one came to the table to bring a menu or introduce themselves as our waitress/waiter. So my boyfriend went to the front and got us a couple of menus. Then after waiting another 10 min we asked for someone to take our order. So we gave our appetizer order to a waitress and then 5 min later a different waitress came over (who didn't speak a lick of English). So we were confused, did the other girl tell this new girl she took our appetizer order? We just ordered our entrees. My boyfriend didn't know what the white sauce was that came with the chicken and broccoli but the waitress also couldn't explain to him what was in it, she just kept saying white sauce. So she was very helpful. He ended up ordering the shrimp w/ lobster sauce and I got the garlic basil chicken. They must have noticed we were disturbed so some random waitress placed a potsticker appetizer on the table. She said ""on the house."" I tried to ask her a question but she ignored me. We also noticed how the manager was walking and talking to all the regulars but completely skipped the two new patrons. The veggies in his entree were undercooked. We did not take anything home with us and they were clearly upset by this. We couldn't get out of there faster and I was mad we had to pay $47 for a crappy meal. more

Best Chinese food in Atlanta 6/19/2008

Little Szechaun is by far the best Chinese food one can find in Atlanta. If it's location was better the owner would be a very rich man. The atmosphere calming, the service is good, but the food is unforgettable. You have nothing to lose by trying it. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. I have been there multiple times and never been dissapointed. I recommend the orange peel beef; it is out of this world. If you are in the mood for chinese food, you would be doing yourself a great diservice by not trying this restaraunt. Pros: The best Chinese food I've ever had, and one of the best meals I've ever had! Cons: The location is a small drawback, but that's only because I live in the city limits of Atlanta. more

Salt & Pepper Squid!! 11/19/2007

This place is a good choice for several reasons. 1) Salt & Pepper Squid is sooo good. 2) lots of menu choices that are different from the normal chinese offering here. 3) they go an extra step beyond most restaurants. For example, even if you are just getting take out, the owner will often put extra/free menu items in your bag. I always find an order of potstickers and dipping sauce or egg rolls when I open the bag at home. more

Not a Sichuan restaurant! 8/9/2007

Anyone here who says this is authentic sichuan(no not szechuan) food has either never been to sichuan restaurants in China, or id a Chinese who is starved for Chinese food in Atlanta(where 99% of Chinese food is 100% no resemblance to food in China). Pros: well, its better than other poor Chinese in Atlanta Cons: Its not at all like real sichuan food...Ive lived in chengdu, wife is CHinese...we know more

The food is delicious and provides friendly service! I want to make a correction on Foodyjenn15's comments, in fact the restaurant is not an open kitchen, how can she see what's going on inside? Foodyjenn15 was rude and not credible on saying that. She knew Buford Highway in general is unsafe (in actuality that's not true) why she did she even drive her new car there? I will still come back and recommend my friends to eat at one of the Best Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Hand-picked by Martin Yan: Little Szechuan! Pros: EVERYTHING! Cons: NONE! more
