Easy to Get to 5/19/2006

This place is easy to get to by bus or train, and parking is not bad. It also feels a bit kitschy--with the "stone wheel" of pencil and paper scoring. It reminds me of growing up in Wisconsin (insert jokes here). Good for a night out with friends, and not as expensive as other places (see Lucky Strike at AMC River East). more

Hope you can do math 3/17/2006

Bowling here is really really cheap. I like that. However there is a reason for it. Unlike most other places today that automatically keep track of your score, at Lincoln Square lanes you are handed a scorecard and pencil to do all the scoring yourself. So hopefully you were paying attention when you had the scoring done for you so you know how to do it. Being able to add helps too. There's not a ton of lanes so you're better off making a reservation for one, however there is a full bar while you're waiting or just to go along with bowling. Despite being severely out of date, I really like it here and the other people here are nice. more

Great bowling Alley 11/3/2005

This place is great for a party. Small place, cheap beer and just a lot of fun. I had about 10 people out and could get 2 lanes no problem. Getting beers the whole night, never a wait. more

Fun place to bowl 9/28/2005

Lincoln Square Lanes is a great place to bowl. They don't have leagues so it's usually easy to get a lane. The place is not very big so there aren't a lot of lanes but the turnover is fairly quick. They don't have the automatic scoring machines so you have to score the game yourself - a bonus, in my opinion. It's typically very smokey inside. The drinks are reasonably priced. They often have live music in the bar. more
