We went to Linden's and were bowed over by the frame selection. Where to begin! My wife and teenage daughter went nuts over the Bebe and Juicey Couture frames. The optician gal (Zooma?) who helped us out was real friendly. Her advice was spot on. It was a unique shopping experience that was actually FUN. We had a great time trying on the different frames and getting feedback from the staff. I ended up with some Oakleys. Very happy with them. Thumbs up for this place. HIGH PRICE, LOW GRADE SERVICE 5/12/2009

I purchased a pair of glasses and had to follow up with 3 additional visits to have them adjusted. At the final visit i requested a refund and was informed that not only is the a 20% restocking fee (of the frame) but only the frames are refundable which would have me leave with two lenses in my hand which were specific to those frames. I wanted to give kudos to Fay the optician and to Dr. Allen Limfat for being so incredibly awesome everytime I go in. Dr. Limfat really truly cares -- not something you can take for granted in healthcare professionals in this day and age. After referring me to an ophthalmologist for a detached retina, he called me back twice -- personally -- to make sure I kept my appointment and got taken care of. I have been a customer for years. I would bring my prescription and get my glasses made by Linden because of their wide selection of frames, but my recent experience has ended that. I was reasonably happy with their optician service, until my last two pair of glasses. The the first pair saw the coating peel off the glasses after about a year. Although my prescription hadn't changed, the optician told me their was nothing that could be done but to buy a new pair of lenses. I wasn't thrilled, since my lenses are fairly complex and expensive, but I shrugged and ordered new lenses. Pros: easy parking, good hours, opticians pleasant (haven't used optometrists) Cons: technical problems with the glasses, management doesn't want to hear or address more

So here we were, getting an exam for my stepdaughter. All paid up, everything went smooth, but we had to come back the next day for the dilation. When we came back we were presented with another bill. Clearly a clerical error (or was it?) and the clerk assured me it would be taken care of. The worst in patient care and lousy customer service 7/6/2008

My visit to Linden Optometry was completely dreadful and a big waste of time. I went there because they were opened on a Sunday. I had a 1pm appointment and it took an hour an a half to been seen. They have an assembly line set up and you are passed from one person to the next and so forth. We were there a total of 3 hours and I felt nothing was accomplished. My follow-up appointment was at 11am, so I arrived twenty minutes early. We waited almost an hour an a half before they called me. The follow-up was only suppsed to take fifteen minutes. I was wearing a trial pair of contacts and the doctor wanted me to switch the one I was wearing on my left eye to a different prescription. It took only two minutes to switch out my contact and to my surprise the doctor that i was working with took another patient so I had to wait for another doctor who had to look at my chart all over again. When I switch the contact on my left eye, my vision was blurred, yet that doctor insisted I try them out and return in a few days. I was so upset and so I asked for the doctor who had originally seen me ten minutes before which I had to wait since he was with another patient. I was so upset by this time that I asked for my original prescription. I was going to have my prescription filled but they asked for the funds upfront and they would reimburse me once my insurance paid them. Also, they charged me 75 dollars along with a 10 dollar copay for my follow-up exam which in eight years I have never had to pay for a follow-up and also I was not aware I was going to have to pay additional money. (they call it a fit exam which insurance companies do not cover) On their website they claim to provide clients with quality care and take pride in their level of customer service and they do the complete opposite. Customers come out cursing and upset. I left saying, ""I hate this place."" I will never return nor will I ever refer a patient. Pros: Parking is about all. Dr. Limfat is good... I feel that they do not care about the customers 7/13/2007

Dr. Limfat is the only Dr. I want see at LINDEN OPTOMETRY. I have had to put up bad service and longs waits, along with glasses made wrong!! But today was the final straw, I will not go back. I had an appointment for me and my husband to see Dr. Limfat. I had made the appointment weeks ago, I confirmed and was assured that he could see both of us at the appointment time. When I was finally called in by a different doctor (after a long wait), I told him that I was to see Dr. Limfat. The doctor told me that Dr. Limfat was on vacation!!! I had waited months for my husband to have a day off for another Dr. appointment to schedule this appointment and I made the appointment weeks in advance. I was told I could be seen or come back another day. Well we drove thirty minutes to get there and I had no idea when my husband would have another day off. So we both saw doctors other than Dr. Limfat. When we were ready to look for frames, they wanted to have the same person help me then my husband, making us wait longer, but only after they finished with whom ever they were already helping. I refused to wait, I insisted they get someone else to help my husband, while I talk to a manager about my complaints. They get many people because of the insurance and don't really care if a person is treated well or not. I guess they have enough customers to not worry about a few not coming back. I told the manager how unhappy I was and all he said he could do for me was to get my glasses done a few days early, BIG DEAL!! I had waited months for the appointment with Dr. Limfat (who I did not see) what did a few days matter? I will not go back no matter how good Dr. Limfat is. It is not worth it. I expect to be treated as a customer not a welfare recipient that has to put up with whatever they are given. (I have been there done that, but now I now have a three digit income and will not be treated as person waiting for a handout, or take whatever they are given.) messed up my glasses repeatedly - i will never go here again 4/23/2007

i was totally appalled by this place. i must have went back like 6 times to get my prescription fixed and it's still weird. the staff is uneducated. don't listen to their advice. i got a pair of red eyeglasses which are just hideous but while i was in the store the two people helping me were like ""these are great glasses."" seriously, i look stupid. also they could not get my lenses to fit into the frame. they told me it was my prescription. that was b.s. they're just shoddy. do yourself a favor, do not go to this county clinic. yes, it's like a county clinic. I ordered contact lenses through an on line retailer because the retail price at Lindens Optometry is twice the price! For example, $17.95 / box of cooper lenses versus $40.00 a box at Linden Optometry. I make $95,000 a year, but I refuse to just throw away money. Highly Recommended Doctors 5/9/2006

I was referred to Dr Linden's office by my co-workers because my eyes were very dry and I couldn't wear contacts anymore. I was able to get a same-day appointment, even though I was using insurance -- That's amazing! The doctor was very careful and explained everything she was doing. The dry eye treatment seems to be working. My eyes feel much better now, and I don't have to use eye drops anymore. The staff was very friendly and overall I was very pleased with the service. I didn't need glasses, but I was amazed at the variety of eyeglass frames they have on display. I spent about 20 minutes looking at glasses, and I will definitely go back next year when my eyeglass insurance kicks in again so I can get a new pair. Dr. Limfat is the greatest! 5/8/2006

I have been going to Linden Optometry for over ten years. Dr. Limfat is the most wonderful optometrist imaginable -- he gives very thorough eye exams, explains everything in detail, and is a truly nice person, too. I brought my mother to the office to get her sunglasses for mothers day. She was blown aaway by all of the beautiful frames available. In fact she had a hard time deciding becausethere were so many to choose from. She lives in ARizona and had never seen such a beautiful optometrist office before. Poor Customer Service 4/24/2006

My eyes have been bothering me forever, so I decided to try and get an eye exam. I called Linden optometry because my cousin had gotten his glasses there. Can you say 'horrible' customer service over the phone. The woman who answered was not only rude, she had no knowledge of what the exam entailed, how much it would be or who it would be with. She said to 'come in and your appointement will be with anybody"". Anybody? Well, I might as well get examined by the homeless guy on the street. No thanks. If they can't get it together over the phone, I would hate to see what they do in person. more

My insurance covers my visit, lenses and frames at authorized providers. After application of the insurance(approx $125 credit), the amount still due from me was still substantially more than I would have paid at Costco without insurance. Linden's strengths is that it has great hours (open sat & sun), conscientious optometrists (my husband and I saw 4 different doctors there, all wonderful), and a huge selection of frames (both low and high end). However, I would warn against going on a weekend as it is very busy and you will have to wait 30-60 min for service. Also, the opticians (people who fit the frames to your face) are a mixed bag. We dealt with at least 10 different opticians during our visits there, and while a few of them were genuinely helpful, most were more interested in moving on to the next patient. more

I'm hard to please, but the salesgirls at Linden were patient and finally helped me find some eyeglaases I like. They say they have 10,000 frames, and I think I tried on at least 5,000 of them (LOL!). I visited some other discount eyeglass stores first, but I figure if they have low prices on eyelgasses I don't like, what's the point of buying them? I have to wear them everyday! My Favorite Eyedoc 7/16/2002

It's so wonderful to visit an optometrists office that is modern and clean AND open Saturdays and SUNDAYS for eye exams! I loved the fact that after the exam, they gave me my eyeglass prescription without even asking for it, on a cute little folder called an ""Eyecare passport"". Great People, Great Selection 7/11/2002

The employees at Linden are the greatest. They really want to help. I was looking for an eyeglass frame that was stylish but still fit my budget. The optician who helped me didn't give up until I found a pair I liked. They must have 3,000 different frames (No, I didn't try ALL of them!). Also, I was given my eyeglass prescription as soon as my exam was over, without even asking for it. They wrote it on a cute little ""Passport"" that won't get lost. And, best of all, they billed VSP directly, so I didn't have to pay (except for the $10 deductible). Pros: Great Staff, Great Doctors Cons: Sundays they close @5 more
