I'm done with Lime. I have always 5/9/2012

I'm done with Lime. I have always thought that their food and margaritas were OK, but not great. Their chips are the worst-fried flour tortillas, so I usually avoid them (and they had run out of the regular corn chips the night we were there...again.) more

Limes Last Chance 1/31/2010

I live in the neighborhood, and it was one of my favorite places when i first moved here, it's got a good menu, and the salute shots used to make up for all of the negatives... but i'm done- lime had their last chance the last time we were in lime XS (XS meaning super small tables and no room in between your table and the one next to you) i could not even fit in between our table and the table next to us. there was about a 4 inch gap, so unless you are about a size 0 or the size of one of the managers kids (who are there most nights we have gone in) it's ridiculous. it became a joke between us and the table basically adjoining ours, and they couldn't even get out of their table without knocking into ours. the recipes are good but the quality of the greens in the salad were sub par and rimmed with black. and our waiter didn't check on us to see how the meal was for over 30 minutes. when they finally did check on us we explained the salad didn't look very quality and they argued about it with us and said they would only comp the bill 5 dollars. or we could get desert, but frankly i was not enjoying myself and didn't want to waste any more of my night cramped at this table. the slutty manager/ owner woman who tries to scmooze all the tables should go put on some more clothes... this isn't a night club. maybe if you were the only people in the place it might be alright, steer clear of their taco tuesday unless you want to be sitting in your neighbors lap. Pros: Great Menu Cons: Bad Service, horrible seating, poor management more

If you want a good Margarita but to be treated rudely 5/20/2009

I am just going to post part of my complaint letter to lime rather than write this all again. I went ahead and gave them one star because the margarita was REALLY good. However the fried ice cream...where not bad was a little strange and the frozen strawberries that garnished it were mushy and kinda gross. From my email to the company: A girlfriend and I decided at the last minute to meet for a drink since our husbands agreed to watch the babies. It was our first drink together baby free in MONTHS and it had us both so gleeful it would be hard to p!$$ us off (trust me...very hard to p!$$ us off). However, our waiter Dirk came pretty close. My girlfriend arrived 15 minutes before I did at 9:15pm at the Lime on 6th and Clarkson. She waited at the door for a few minutes but saw no hostess or other staff interested in seating her so assumed it was open seating and sat herself. After 5 minutes she determined it was too loud inside (the excitement over the Nuggets game) and sat herself outside. When I arrived about 10 minutes later she informed me that no server or other staff had approached her. After I was there for five minutes a young man brought us chips and water, but still no server. There were two severs waiting on other tables on the patio but neither acknowledged us. After 10 minutes of talking I asked my friend if maybe there were no waiters working and we had to go to the bar for our drinks and food....when I asked this question one of the waiters tending to the other tables on the patio turned to our table, rolled his eyes and said something with a disgusted face to his friend then turned back to the nuggets game. I assumed this meant they were no longer waiting on the patio and gave my girlfriend my credit card and ID so she could order our drinks from the bar. It turned out we did have a waiter (the rude eye roller) and that when she went to the bar to order our drinks she was instead reffered to our waiter who pried himself away from the nuggets game to ask her what she wanted. As someone who has worked as a server in the restaurant business for 11 years, I wish I could say when forced to deal with us our waiter collected himself and gave excellent service redeeming himself in such a manner so that we forgot the eye rolling and ignoring. However, he acted put off by us and treated us in such a way that I was incredibly offended. We were informed of last call and each ordered a beer...however, ten minutes later we were being stalked by a waiter who wanted his check back. If he didn't have but 10 minutes before he wanted us out then he really should not of offered last call. Usually last call is 30 minutes before closing. After 15 minutes an unidentified non-smiling woman (either the missing hostess before or a manager) came over and informed us that we could either move it to the bar or finsih because the patio was closed and we were not allowed to stay there, then before I could finishfinish responding she was back out the door. Then our waiters friend stepped out as we were walking off the patio and asked ""what our problem was"", which was completely inappropriate. I could go on in the ways I feel that your restaurant failed tonight as far as your customer service goes but personally I feel like I have wasted enough time already in an email that will probably be ignored. Although, your food was good (we had the fried ice cream) and your margaritas were tasty, obviously customer service is not a high priority. Regardless we still had a fun night, one of the most fun times we have gotten to have since our babies were born. Pros: strong huge margarita for $10 Cons: The staff is rude and unattentive more

Go to Taco Johns, Del Taco, or another 1/21/2009

I've been here for dinner once, but they have a gimmick called ""tacos tuesday"" where tacos are only one dollar. Great deal, right? No. The dollar tacos are all lettuce and it takes forever to get to you after you order. This place shouldn't hire staff in high school or at least give them an etiquette class because they act like a group of clowns. Pros: location is close to Bennys Cons: hair in food, long wait on food, gross food, bad staff more

Don't Waste Your Time 1/20/2009

We arrived on ""taco tuesday"" which seems like a good idea if you actually have a place big enough....We were initally told there would be a 20-30 minute wait for a table - an hour later we watched in horror as 10 frat boys (who were no doubt dating the staff) waltzed by us and were seated minutes after arriving (and after receiving free shots from the bar). AFTER AN HOUR WAIT! I have never been the type of person who would leave a restaurant angry - but that was ridiculous. I agree with some of the other posts that the staff was very rude, and it seemed to be inconvienent that we were even there for them. I will NEVER come back. Pros: good margaritas Cons: crowded, staff is rude, long wait, parking, bad attitudes more

HORRIBLE!!! 1/20/2009

This is the most horrible mexican place in Denver! The staff is stupid, there are a bunch of hipsters there who are friends with the staff - AND ALWAYS GET IN BEFORE YOU WILL! If you go, make sure there is not a wait! Take my advice - you will have a better experiance at Taco Bell. NEVER GO HERE!! Pros: Good Location Cons: HORRIBLE more

Great place to eat with friends! 12/16/2008

I love this place, the scorpian plate is awesome, the atmosphere is too. The staff is always been friendly even when you can tell it is really busy. About the $1 tacos, who can beat that? They're practically giving them away, if you can wait it's worth it! Great place to hang out and eat with friends. Check it out. more

Small, dirty with nasty food 12/12/2008

After a bad experience at this place, I will never go again. The staff is lazy and don't care about their customers. The chips taste like deep fried pita breads. The restaurant was dirty and had chipped paint and chip crumbs every where. My meal was bland. I am going to stick with Benny's. The only pro was that we found a parking spot in their lot. Pros: Found parking spot Cons: FOod, atmophere, waitresses more

Have had good experiences and also bad.... 11/26/2008

My fiancee and I loved Lime, until we went for the $1 taco night. We knew it was going to be busy, but it was terrible. We were told 30-35 minutes for the wait. After about 45 minutes, the host came over and told us that the table we were supposed to get had people who were just sitting there. Finally got sat after a little over an hour, then waited approx. 5-7 minutes and had no service yet. Frustrated, I got up to go ask if we would in fact have a server and when I found who I am assuming was a manager/ owner he continued joking with the person he was talking to and then when I finally said ""Excuse Me"" he acted totally annoyed. A waitress finally came and not only was she unfriendly and rude, she also acted as if she was annoyed to be working. She did give us two margaritas on the house for the wait, which was appreciated, but when a part of what we ordered for dinner did not come out with the rest- and the waitress did not notice, and I had to remind her that we ordered something else- we were over the whole experience of the night. Bottom line- it is an ok place if you do not go for the good deal. Also, the chips are awesome (but you can call ahead and get them to go) Pros: Yummy chips, good margaritas Cons: Service is terrible, barely any parking, crowded and small more

Staff could use an upgrade 11/13/2008

Bottom line, the hostess was rude and unwelcoming. When asked how long the wait would be, the response was ""IT'S GOING TO BE AWHILE"" she gave us a dirty look and turned away. We must have been asking too much of her. Pretty sure that is not the way to get business. Food was good and cheap. We would go back for $1 tacos. more

Bad News 10/6/2008

This place is filled with wannabe trendy folks. The food is so-so, the place is noisy, crowded, and not that great. Want corn chips? They charge you extra. Instead, they give you flour chips that are fattening as hell and are very filling. After a basket of them you won't have room for dinner. Cons: See Review more
