Editorial review from Citysearch 2/24/2014

I have my daughter in Daycare since she was 6 weeks old and I love it, you can feel the good interactions that the teachers have with the children, the Infant teachers are so nice and warm with the babies. My daughter loves to go everyday and she gets very sad when is the weekend and she does not get to see her Teachers or friends! I love how they take care of children and greet us every morning and when I pick her up her teachers tells me how good her day was and I believe her because she comes back with messy clothes or a bunch of art. I totally recommend this place, now my daughter is almost 5 yrs old time to start Kindergarten at Lake. hills (right next to Daycare) and LPW has a program after school so my daughter is going to start Kindergarten with some of her friends from Daycare. This couldn't be better! Thank you to all the staff for making my daughter very happy!!! more

less than par 6/2/2011

For some people, this may be the perfect fit. Just not the case for us. Half of the staff all seem to be stressed or frazzled & the other half appeared to be joking around, I did not get a good vibe from the get go. During our short visit we were taken THRU the center, as there are no hallways, all classrooms are connected. Some of the older rooms the children seemed engaged, but when we reached the toddler rooms the outside play area was sad & depressing. There were only two swings which were not even being used & one tiny little old metal slide. Half of the toys look like they've been there since it opened, dirty & broken. \r I would not reccommend this place for anyone! more

Worst Day Care Ever! 5/23/2011

I would not reccomend this place to anyone. My daugthers elbow was dislocated here at 7 months old, and not only did that happen in their care, noone called me. I got there to pick her up and I immediatley could tell there was something wrong with her arm. I had to take her to the hosptial to have it popped back in. If you want your children in the hands of good people DO NOT take them here. more

Truly One of a Kind. 11/15/2010

When you have a child who literally RUNS to their teacher you know that they are happy, healthy, & well taken care of. To a mom, that is always reassuring. \r \r My child has been at LPW Bellevue for the past few years and I know that all the teachers have her best interest in mind. My child comes home daily with creative new projects, a messy sensory experience to share, & new songs to sing! Leaving a child in daycare is never easy, but I think they do a great job at creating a “home away from home” setting.\r They rooms are all bright with child’s artwork on display for parents to view & you can find the teachers getting down and dirty actually engaging with the children.\r \r I have and will recommend LPW to my friends and family for years to come.\r more

Just looked, but wouldn't go here 10/21/2010

I did tour the Bellevue location a while back. But I also got a pretty bad impression of the place. The preschool area actually looked pretty decent, the staff there seemed engaged and so did the kids. The small toddler area I can't say the same. The caretaker barely lifted her head when I entered with my daughter for the tour, and never even smiled an attempt at a greeting. No smiles towards the kids there either in the 15-20 mins I was there. The kids seemed okay, but you could tell there was little adult engagement going on during the day. There as a ""schedule"" on the wall: The usual circle time, gross motor, fine motor, etc. I noticed I was there smack in the middle of gross motor time. Aparently gross motor time is throwing a bunch of blocks on the floor for the kids to ignore. To the caretakers credit, they have a 7:1 ratio for the 1-2 year olds. I can't imagine that many with diapers, crying...The outside play area had signs all over the place that said in bold ""if you are standing here, you aren't watching the kids!!!""... again a flag. Overall I really got a dumpy down impression. And I really got that gut feeling not to take my kid there. Ever. If the cost was $750/month, I might say, yes, this is what I would expect. But no, the cost is around $1300/month. Wow! You can definately find better. Look around for home daycares if your budget is limited. more

BEWARE!! 10/12/2010

Not for us 8/28/2010

We went to tour the infant care area of the Bellevue location. It left me feeling hollow inside, so I knew it was not the right place for our little one. During the tour, the teachers did not say hello or even look at my daughter. I was also not impressed by there not being a more secure entry into the building. more

Fab Find!!! 4/9/2009

My daughter has been a LPW child since the Seattle location opened. We had trouble finding a center that worked to our expectations. I am so lucky that I have found one with Lil Peoples World. The staff is natural in thier talent with children and exceed in structure of rearing educated minds. Creative, active, fun and rewarding is what comes to mind when I think of LPW. A top Seattle pick in Daycare and Educational Centers!! Pros: Near 1-5 exit, Friendly, Educational,Clean. more

Very happy with our experiences 2/21/2009

When I left Lil' Peoples World on the first day of dropping my child off I felt empty.... now every morning I drop her off I know she is well cared for, fed and learning skills to prepare her for elementary school interaction. It seems that all the staff knows my daughters name and greets her with her name every morning. When I drop my daughter off she willingly goes with her ""teacher"" and at night recounts her days activities with excitement and a sparkle in her eye. Everyone has different experiences with childcare but I believe that Lil Peoples World in Bellevue is worth giving a try. Oh and opinions are in the eye of the beholder, you should allow your opinion to lead you! Pros: On my way to work, staff friendliness to child Cons: my own first day drop off blues more

Don't listen to negative reviews!! 1/28/2009

For the person that just SLANDERED a great childcare center, you might want to think about all the good qualities that the teachers at LPW haven given you and your child and the bond that they had. Is it an older building, yes. Is is in desperate need for repair, absolutely not! Is it a warm environment of friendly staff, 100% yes. Do they have a no shoe policy on the infant center, yes. Do they have old cribs, no actually my infant has the same one that I JUST bought form babies r us! Are you upset because they wouldn't listen to your OUTRAGEOUS NEEDS, yes. These teachers work so hard to make every child and parent happy and they do such a great job! I am so happy I am with LPW EVERYTHING IN YOUR POST IS BECAUSE YOU ARE A NEEDY MOM THAT WANTS REVENGE> more

Super friendly staff 1/6/2009

Although my stay with Lil Peoples World was short due to an out of state move, it was great! Most of the teachers there have been there for a long time. The classrooms were always kept clean and everyone was so loving especially the infant teachers. I would definately recommend them to any of my friends and I miss them already! Pros: planned meals and fun art and activities more

A nurturing, caring environment for infants, cruisers and waddlers, too! 5/8/2007

Part-time infant care with a ""home-like"" feel is hard to come by. Lil' People's World Infant Center offers the best of both worlds and more. The Infant Center is a great home-away-from home. In fact, it was a home at one point and the character and warmth of the home still fills the center. The staff is ultra-caring staff. The classrooms are safe and clean classrooms. And the diversity of it's students reflect our community. Our 1-year-old has florished there and continues to enjoy every moment she's in their care. When we pull into the lot, she instantly becomes excited and happy to be there. \r \r Lil' People's World holds a special place in my heart as it was my home-away-from-home nearly 30 years ago. I spent the first 6 years of my life there and feel proud to be able to share the experience with my daughter. Pros: Home-like feel, great staff, diverse meal options, price Cons: It's a bit far from my home. more

Great place for your child to learn and grow 5/1/2007

My daughter has been at Lil' People's World going on 3 years and I have nothing but praise and respect for the staff. They not only teach my child the essentials, they honestly care about her. If she is having a bad day they will give her that something extra to make her day better. Each and every one of her teachers take the time to talk to me, this is comforting as a mom. They do so many neat things there such as pony pictures....this is huge with my child. Last week they had McGruff the crime dog in to talk with the kids and do ID packets. They have taught my child numerous things, given her a comfortable place to be while my husband and I work and have treated her so wonderful that she truly loves and cares for her teachers. more

Best Teachers, Great classroom sizes...Highly recommended! 4/5/2007

Lil People's World has provided my son and I such a wonderful experience! Having had a chance to see my son interact with the environment of Lil People's World for almost a full year, I would give my full recommendation for their Bellevue center. My son has grown more confident, happier, and has made me feel so much better about leaving him at daycare during my workdays. more
