Worst

I don't really care about having super straight, super white teeth. I really just want my gums and teeth to be healthy. If that's all that matters to you too, this is probably not...

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/6/2013

I have been a patient of Life Smiles for a few years and have had various types of visits to include routine cleaning, check-ups, teeth whitening, a wisdom tooth extraction, and a cavity filling. Every visit has been consistently thorough. Not only are Dr. Mitchmore and his staff excellent at what they do, they create a pleasant, positive, and productive experience for me. Great service, spotless facilities and tools, kind and always smiling and welcoming staff, accommodating to my schedule, dental needs, and financial conditions, and super happy with my teeth after every visit. 5 stars! more

worst receptionist ever 5/22/2012

I don't really care about having super straight, super white teeth. I really just want my gums and teeth to be healthy. If that's all that matters to you too, this is probably not the best place for you. They are extremely cosmetics focused. I know that my teeth are far from perfect, but Lifesmiles made me feel like I had the worst teeth in the world. So since having perfect teeth is not my goal, I knew I had to get a second opinion after my appointment with them. Lifesmiles made me feel like if I didn't take all of their suggestions, all of my teeth would fall out, and I'm not going to just drop 8,000$ on one opinion. I also wasn't about to pay for X-rays again when I had literally just taken them. So, I got everything ready to release my records and X-Rays to another practice. I paid the receptionist the fee to release my records, and she told me they would email them to me by the end of the day. Seemed pretty straight forward and simple. Well two days goes by and no phone call, no email, nothing. II think that it normally takes about a week, but if you are going to say by the end of the day and then not have any explanation of why you haven't done it yet, I am not just going to let you take my money and not wonder why. It seems like attaching a file to an email would take maybe a minute at the most, especially when they are all electronic, but maybe there is something more to it that I don't know about. Also, surely I couldn't be the first or last person to ask for a copy of my X-rays, so it would seem that the receptionist would have some knowledge of how to send them. Well, when I finally got a hold of her, she was a completely different person than the warm, friendly receptionist I encountered when I first got there. Seems she is a really nice person until you ask her to do something she either doesn't know how to do or doesn't want to do. She got extremely defensive and didn't feel that she had done anything wrong, and made me feel crazy for wanting what I paid for in a timely manner. Apparently she was having some issues with their system, and had she just communicated with me that she was even having problems and worked with me, I probably wouldn't even be writing this review. Well I took her excuses, and decided to reschedule my appointment with my second opinion and gave her a much longer time window to send them again. Again, she promised them to me by a certain date and I got no phone calls, email or any explanation of why I still hadn't received them. I didn't actually get them until I finally got fed up of not getting any sort of response through phone and email and actually drove up to Lifesmiles (almost an entire month later after first requesting them). At that point, I didn't even care about the X-rays anymore and wanted either my money back or a working attachment of my X-rays that day. The receptionist got extremely defensive again, didn't want to take any of the blame and stormed into another room and FINALLY sent me my X-rays. It took her about 19 seconds to do that...... She probably still feels like she didn't do anything wrong, and even if she actually hadn't done anything wrong, was her laziness worth a terrible review to do something that takes less than 30 seconds?! I know that since I am no longer a patient of theirs, I am not their first priority, but seriously?! It's unfortunate that the receptionist is often the only point of contact for patients and has such a huge influence on someone's opinion of the practice. The fact that doing a quick, routine task took almost a month made the receptionist look like she either just didn't care, was extremely lazy, or was totally incompetent because she didn't know how to troubleshoot simple problems. There are so may other dental practices that won't make you feel like crap and have competent, friendly staff. I'd try somewhere else...anywhere else... more

Houston's Top Dental Office 12/27/2011

If you are looking for that personal dentist to calm your worries about going to a dentist, look no further. Doctor Randy and his staff are top notch and care for your every need. They will put you first and really try to understand your concerns. What other dentist has a hot-wax hand warmer in the waiting area, calming water sculptors, or gives you a rose upon leaving? From your normal dental check-up to dental work, and all the way to cosmetic veneers this group has it wired. Plus, they donate a portion of their time and effort to the ""Give a Smile"" program for women who have suffered injuries through abusive partners. Check them out...you won't be dissappointed! more

Houston's Best Dentist - none better! 10/21/2010

Dr. Randy Mitchmore is truly the BEST Dentist is Houston or rather the US. The minute you walk into his office, you are greeted with a sense of calm. I was a VERY nervous person when it came to going to a dentist. I only went after I had broken a tooth and had no choice! Dr. Randy took such good care of me. He knew I was nervous. He took his time explaining things to me, He worked with me and created a dental plan to bring me back to optimum Dental health. Now I LOVE going to the Dentist. I mean I LOVE going to see Dr. Randy! In addition to great dental care, I get to listen to my favorite music. I get a great and relaxing parafin wax hand massage. Dr. Randy makes sure that everyone who works in his office have his same belief of relaxing pain free dentistry. I have recommended so many friends to him and received calls saying ""I LOVE Dr. RANDY!"" There is no dentist that can compare to him! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him! You will not be disappointed. more

Gentle dentistry with a SMILE! 11/16/2009

Dr. Mitchmore and his staff of professional technicians make your office visit more than a ""dental appointment."" You will be greeted, treated with kid gloves, offered hot wax to relax your hands, conversed, and made to feel that you are really special. This is not an act, this is practiced professional care. Once you experience his dental tenderness, you will always return. Give it a try... Pros: Best dentistry and friendly atmosphere Cons: None that I have experienced more

BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER - AWSOME 2/19/2009

I want to refer everyone I know to Dr. Mitchmore. I had my appointment with him this morning to correct an upper fixed retainer (known as ribbond - used to hold in place teeth with short roots). I had this procedure done by someone else earlier in the week and was uncomfortable with the results. In the consultation with Dr. Mitchmore, I explained my history to him and exactly what I was hoping to achieve. He understood perfectly well, told me he was very familiar with my situation and we set out to make it right. Lastly, let me just say that I am a very nervous person when it comes to dental procedures/instrument, but Dr. Mitchmore has this highly advanced tool that numbs your mouth. You never see the needle and much less feel it. I sat through the entire procedure as cool as a cucumber, did not feel a thing. You can tell that Dr. Mitchmore loves what he does because it shows in his work.\r \r A heart felt thanks to the staff. You are very friendly and accomodating, thank you for the Welcome sign too :) Pros: This man knows what he's doing times 10 Cons: None whatsoever more

I feel like I've been to a spa! 2/10/2009

WOW....what an AMAZING Dental experience!\r Not only were my teeth and gums pampered with the latest and coolest equipment...I was offered a choice of beverage, had a parafin wax hand treatment with a hand massage, watched videos, given a cool GREEN Shopping bag, travel tooth care case, a carnation, mints, and a chocolate bar! \r \r The atmosphere is so lovely and peaceful...my exam room overlooked a breathtaking pool and landscaping...\r \r I was treated so well and pampered by all...I even got a hug!\r Pros: Top notch care, Above and beyond expectations more

Truly a new experience in dentistry! 2/4/2009

A visit to Life Smiles is about as good as a trip to the dentist could possibly get. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The office is very welcoming and comfortable. When you go back for your visit, you can get a paraffin treatment for your hands during your visit so they will be as nice as your teeth when you leave. You can even watch a video while you are in the chair for your treatment. Need a pillow...a blanket? Just ask, but you probably won't have to! At Life Smiles you will feel more like a welcome guest than anything else.\r \r Dr. Mitchmore is very friendly and he is great about making sure that you understand what he is going to do and that you are clear on any treatment plan that may be necessary. In my case, there was a LOT to keep me informed about. Currently, I am about half way through the process of a whole mouth reconstruction. This has involved a wisdom tooth extraction, a dental implant to replace a missing tooth, rehabilitation of my gums (after removal of several crowns from my last dentist that caused the problem) and finally addressing TMJ issues by crowning all of my teeth and changing my bite. I've felt more like they have been working with me than working on me. That is a great feeling when you are in the chair staring down that drill!\r \r The entire staff is wonderful and I am confident that I will be as pleased with the final product as I've been with all of the work that has been performed thus far. \r \r I highly recommend Dr. Mitchmore and the Life Smiles team to anyone who is in need of any dental work be it a simple cleaning or major reconstructive work. Pros: Friendly Staff, Great Environment more
