Pug Received EXCELLENT care at Lien Animal Clinic 12/9/2010

I can not begin to say enough good thing about Dr. Kraabel and the staff at Lien Animal Clinic. I have a pug who had a congenital problem and they took the best loving care of him possible. Today he is a healthy and active Pug. Dr. Kraabel was extremely good with Sid, very professional, very caring and in my opinion an excellent clinician. The office staff and Vet Tech staff are always friendly and they really do seem to care about the animals they work with. Thank you, Thank you, Thank You. more

Avoid - Scamming pet owners and the City of Seattle 11/3/2010

AVOID!! Do NOT take any animal there.\r \r A neighbor "rescued" my "lost" dog (the dog had just run out and was 2 houses down from mine) and took her to Lien Animal Clinic. Instead of recognizing her from her unique dental issues and the related work they'd just performed on her a few months earlier (at a price $200 over what they originally quoted me), they immediately (within 15 minutes of drop off) called Seattle Animal Control and had her picked up. After dealing with the Seattle Animal Shelter, we've discovered that Lien bills the City of Seattle for "examinations" (which I have reasons to believe they don't actually do) and for a holding the dogs for the city. So they have NO incentive to hold a pet for the owner - they get money for turning the pet over to the city. more

Knowledgeable and Kind 2/10/2010

I've been taking my cats here since we moved to West Seattle three years ago. Every vet in this office seems to be very caring and good with the animals. They never make me feel rushed and always take the time to listen to the concerns I have. Additionally they seem knowledgeable and very capable of explaining what they think is going on and what they need to do with sensitivity to the fact that I want to take care of my animals but can't go broke. We've been through a couple of emergencies with them as well and have had timely, professional, and personable service with them. I've never had a hard time getting my cats an appointment for routine care or seen in an emergency. We've seen several of the vets here and they all seem great! Right now, however, Fiddy is sticking with seeing Dr. Krawble if she had to pick one of them. more

Unbelievably callous phone receptionists. Rude owner too! 9/12/2009

HORRIBLE. Quit taking our dogs here due to RUDE staff. Sent us upsetting reminder notes after our pets died & HUNG UP ON US when we told them to stop! more

A friendly, loving, and safe place for pets 1/25/2009

I worked as a volunteer at Lien for 6 months and I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. I have since moved out of the West Seattle area but I still make the drive over to take my puppy there. The staff is very nice and work extremely well together. The doctors as smart and kind and truly love and respect the animals. It is a small building that has been around for a long time but the staff is very good at making sure things are sterile for your pets. I assisted in many surgeries and they were extremely professional and interested in the well fare of each animal, from the biggest dog to the smallest hamster. I recommend this place to all my friends and family. Being behind the scenes really opened my eyes to how much room for error there is in Veterinary medicine, and I truly trust the people at Lien. When I take my pets there I know that they will be in good hands. I whole heartedly respect and admire doctors Craable, Fritzler, and Fisher. I wouldn't recommend King, though. He can be a bit brash. Pros: Great trustworthy staff, safe and caring place for animals Cons: I wouldn't go to Dr. King, but all the others are amazing more

A good vet is hard to find! 2/10/2005

Another fellow animal lover, obsessive about his babies just as I am, recommended this vet clinic to me when I first moved to Seattle. Ever since, I've been taking my three cats here and I've never been disappointed. They always get fantastic treatment, the staff really bonds with them, even my crotchity older kitty is happier with this vet than she's ever been with any other one. I definatley enoucorage anyone who is looking for a quality vet to look no farther than the Lien Animal Clinic. more
